recieved 8 calls to prepay cellphone no messages and don't know how they got the number unless it was from previous owner. don't have any debts cause I'm currently homeless due to social security says if you can do 4 hours of sedentary work per WEEK you are not disabled. Try to find a job.ha ha

My mother received a call from a James Hendrix @ Oxford Law.  She took down the information and relayed it to me.  I then called back about 2 days ago to find out what was the purpose of their call.
I found out I had some outstanding debt from a credit card I opened in 1999 with a $500 limit, the problem being is that they now want to collect over $10,000.  Talk about interest and fines.... So I did a little research of my own, In my state, the Statute of Limitation is 6 years.  I then called James Hendrix back today with a couple of questions.....Oddly, they must have more than 1 James Hendrix there, because I spoke to a completely different person. I asked for the street mailing address, which he gave me:

Then I asked him if he had the information in front of him, which he said yes, I opened the credit card in 1999 and it was written off in 2003, 3 years over the statute of limitations (SOL). He then tried to tell me that I had a Misconception about the SOL, that they could collect for a lifetime.  What a crock.... It goes against everything Ive read on legal websites, I'll be looking for their address elsewhere to send my Cease and desist letter, not trusting this company to give me believable information.

I gave some wrong information, they can try to collect over that time period, they also can try to sue you, but as long as you have the paperwork to support your statute of limitation and show up for court, the case should be dismissed.

Calls every day and just hangs up.

You bent from 1999 is beyond the statute of limitations for collecting it. The cannot collect it and it should not be on your credit report.

That we owed money, wanted our s/s and bank account number.  different people calling trying to get more money.  also wanting our debit card numbers.  What we are suppose to owe and then when they said they take payments the addition does not work out. the address is a field.

This number has to stop calling me. It's annoying.

I hate to tell you this but I just stop working at this company  thank god ........James Hendrix his name is winton mcintosh.............Drew  shore  name is Andrew Thomas ........Mr Peterson is Steve Carter ........Jessica Prince  is Precious Hicks very rude .......most of the ppl that work for this company did  jail time ...and a lot of drugs rite at the job  The company's  name was APM Financail Solution  The owner Lerry Weil what a [***] him and  his wife  Mary Weil both are bad news both have face book page .......if you go on the Internet and Google Lerry Weil you will see the jail time he did this man is a [***] .........we all was told just call and hang up so you all would call back this is just one  of the games Lerry would have us play ..........TLO is the tool we use to fine you and your family  your job # your wife or husband work place your mother and father full name and address .... Please be careful that have all you information  your ss# your kids ss# your next door neighbors and will call and tell your neighbor to hock on your door .........I hope this will help. All the accounts r very old you don't have to pay  and you will never go to court.

Call Oxford and ask for Lerry Weil he is the owner what a ass you will never go to court I worked for this company for about 2yrs  I hate calling ppl making up bull [***] I'm soooooooo sorry .i hope god will forgive me !

Receive calls several times per week, sometimes several per day from Oxford Law LLC (215)526-2600 announcing that the call is for someone who doesn't live here and that we have absolutely no contact with. We do not know where the person is and have no clue how to contact them. We've never gotten to speak to anyone from Oxford Law LLC. The calls are a nuisance.

I believe it to be a scam as well. The call was from "Oxford Law". I have not had any outstanding debt for many years, and I believe one of the posts above is correct, that if the claim was correct, you should have seen something in the mail prior to the phone call. Another dead giveaway, is the fact that they called me at 6:00pm PST, which is 9:00pm EST. The only "debt collection" businesses that operate those hours are sweat-shop scam companies. Ignore them.

My telephone number is unlisted and registered with the National Do Not Call Registry.

Received a call from someone at Oxford, LLC claiming that I owe money on a Citibank credit card from 1988.  I disputed the claim but asked the person to send me any documents from the company so that I can validate the claim.  After my request I was transferred to another woman who asked me how long ti would take to raise the money.  I responded that I wanted the documents to verify that I owed the money because I have no knowledge of the account.  That was al least a week ago and I'm still waiting on the documents....
