My mother just received the same call in southwest Houston, TX.  She has no idea who would be calling her from Wisconsin.  She's wondering if possibly it's a legit call from St. Joseph Indian School, thanking her because she sent them a small donation recently. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Same message could this be spam from some of the online number search businesses???

I just got the same message at 10:30 AM 1/8/08. I looked up area code 247 and found this web site. Message "Thank you for all you've done today and all the days before.  You are truly loved.  Your Friend"

Same call, same message.  We live in Spring, TX with Area Code of 832 so it's not just the 281 area code getting these calls.

We just got the same call....  sweet messages from anonymous sources are extremely suspicious to me.  Undoubtedly it was to confirm the number is good.

YES!!!!!!!!  That was my immediate assumption.  I too make donations to St. Joseph's Indian School, and this is not unlike other gestures of gratitude.
