I have been getting phone calls from the same one  rev Canada. someone should  get a blow horn

my former employee took MSP off my pay cheque but did not remit! MSP says I owe but I have provided proof I don't. Keep writing they will not reply to my letters, if you call they say write them. They use CRA as their collection agency as they get paid and do nothing for their pay, benefits and pension. Two people at CRA (one in Toronto) have told me they use CRA and will not correspond with people. Must be a problem if someone in Toronto at CRA says MSP uses them as a collection agency. Heck I know of someone who has lived and worked in Manitoba for some 4 years and is having bills mailed to them in Winnipeg yet they have called several times to tell MSP they no longer living in BC yet they keep getting current bills. They hang up as soon as my answering machine kicks in. Truly if it is legit leave a message or send me a letter you have my address. Given that MSP is run by a US company this could be attempt at ID theft or another scam.

Received a call from this number at 9:00 p.m. at night.
I have an unlisted number never registered for any service whatsoever.  And it's a cell number as well.
250-405-4966 number is fake and an attempt to extract personal information from you by impersonating the government which is is not.
Government will not contact you via telephone.  MSP will contact you via postal mail, not telephone, not e-mail.  
Don't be fooled.
Don't be another victim.
Do not answer this phony call.
This caller is a scam.  
(And don't trust the fake posts from the scammer on this site claiming that the number is real and related to Revenue Canada and MSP, collection agency, yada yada.  How disgusting is that there are scammers that will prey on people with such vile lies.)

Received the same call last week, 1-877 number, NOT REVENUE CANADA OR MSP

I've been getting messages from them for about a month now, the message says 'we've sent you correspondence in the mail" but I've gotten nothing in the mail about anything which I why I'm not going to bother answering anything until I get something in the mail.

A while ago someone DID leave a message looking for a relative of mine but I don't understand how they got MY address and phone number when I've never lived with him or he's never lived with me and I haven't even seen him in over 10 years. I've even moved around a couple times since then and I'm wondering how they're even "tracking" him or me. They also call from this number too: 1 877 455 4966.

Revenue Services Canada, is a company who collects BC MSP  "medical services preiums" , it is not I repeat NOT a government agency!!!! It is a forgien company who has all of your medical records! I will write more on it later, have a nice day ;-)

i really dont think this is msp ive been getting from this number the last few days and they leave the same msg it is all staticy and it sounds as if there driving on the highway  u can barley tell if it a tv or radio in the background with a bird or animal making noises

msp calls me from anther number n say there revenue service so yea this aint msp number

Revenue Services of Canada collects your income tax.  Medical Services Plan is an entirely different government entity.  Perhaps the scammers should learn about the basics of Canadian government, RSC is federal and MSP is provincial.

Revenue services of british columbia is in no way the canada revenue agency. However revenue services of british Columbia is a real company, although this is not the number.  Stop thinking taxman every time you read the word revenue.  ask what you owe and call msp and pay them directly. Do not give answers to anyone over the phone, only ask questions.

I received several call from this number talking about some medical service in BC.
That is ridiculous, I pay my MSP through my employer! It doesn't make any sense

I got a call from this number again, it hasn't called in quite a while. I picked up the phone, pressed 'talk' and hit the mic area a few times then hung up the phone. A few minutes later it called back so out of frustration I called it back a minute or two later and yes it is someone from who it says it is, RSC or MSP or whoever.

There's no 'person' you can talk to so you have to go to any department, there are quite a few departments there. I pressed '1' and talked to some guy and told him what was up, he asked for my number and I gave it to him then he asked for some woman named Tanya. I told him no one lives here by that name and he said they'll delete the number when and when their systems update at midnight my number will be erased from their 'data banks' or whatever... and that was that.

I don't think they're scammers it's just the shady sounding message that makes people suspicious.

Same 1st time I got the callthey left a message it said it was from canadian revinue services diddent state my name wich all other calls from any agency would do. They usualy say this is a call for (insert name here) please call us toll free at (bla bla bla). But this just says its extreemly important and to call them at there number. All other messages I have recieved are cut off at the start and the last call left no message Im not calling cause some 877 numbers are not toll free and charge you like 3$ a minuet that may be the scam get you worried so that you will call and they steal 20 bucks or more as they just keep you talking. No way Im calling after reading all the posts on here

People, if you spent half the time doing a little research as you do jumping on these sites to complain about unwanted calls, you'd know a few things about this number. First of all, enter the number in google and you will see that it is a legitimate number owned by Revenue Services of British Columbia in Victoria BC. Medical Services Plan premiums are billed and collected through Revenue Services of British Columbia. No one is scamming you. If they are calling you, there is a good chance you are behind in your premiums, or maybe someone has used your  name for a reference. This is the collection department of MSP, so perhaps a friend or relative used you as a reference and, just like any other collection agency, they will call those numbers to find the person. It's pretty simple; call the toll-free number, give them your number and ask them why they are calling you. No point in hiding from Revenue Services; if you owe them money for MSP Premiums, they will find a way to get; perhaps out of your next income tax return.
