Actually, if you owe for BC MSP, Revenue Canada will deduct from any MSP payments from your  federal refund at the end of each year, that's how the province ensures payment. However, neither one will call you by telephone, they will mail you a letter. On the other hand MSP will use CBV collections to try and collect, but they must identify themselves as CBV when calling.

I think you need to educate yourself Becky ! As a government employee, I can tell you that this is not Revenue Services of BC nor is it any Service BC location. We do not call you unless returning your call, we will not ask for information that we already have over the telephone unsolicited. We do not operate outside of government business hours and do not employ a call centre to make such calls.
If you are behind on MSP payments, your plan will be suspended so you will make contact with the office, we will mail you a reminder letter stating payment is to be made to Revenue Services of BC as well as provide a phone number to make payment arrangements.If all else fails we will have outstanding payments taken from your federal tax return refunds, at which time you will be notified by mail that Revenue Canada has taken said payment of behalf of the province. This is not a Government of BC phone number, extension local or otherwise. You have now been educated.

Wow, there are a lot of scammers in here promoting this number as if it is legit. It's not. I get the automated message calling me several times/day and night even though my number is unlisted, I've had it for years, I only use it for emergencies (don't give it out to any agencies), and I don't owe any money for medical. The message says something about ambulance service, which I've never used. If you get this call and are concerned about your standing with MSP services, etc. just call the real number and verify your info with them. Don't call the number they give you in the automated message.

It is a scam - called number back website information on recording is NOT right.  Call the legitimate Revenue Canada numbers and speak with someone.  Never give information when someone has called you.  Hang up and call the agency yourself with legitimate numbers to verify EVERYTHING

Also, just because a phone number isn't listed on their website doesn't mean they don't use any other phone numbers to call people.

FACT: The number calling is Revenue Services BC collecting on past due Medical Sevices Plan premiuns for the BC Ministry of Health.

Look we've already determined it's no scam.  So - just pay your bills people.

When they continue to call and harass you..any bill collector you tell them that they are not allowed to call you and must send you a letter.....if they continue to harass you then you tell them you will report them...and it will stop....especially credit card companies they are not allowed to threaten you with court actions or anything or even call you.....that tip I received from someone who represented them...lol...it was a nice tip

I called MSP BC and she saw nothing wrong with my account.
The lady transferred me to Revenue Services of BC and the fellow I talked to said my number was for some guy named Chris Somethingorother. He removed the number from the call list. They are indeed looking for someone when they call but if you are up to date with your payments, chances are somebody is using your number as contact information.

I got the same phone message on my cellphone.  However, I do always pay my MSP.  I never gave my cellphone number to MSP, and I have had this cellphone number for over five years.  I have to suspect that this call is a hoax.

Just answered this call its MSP, guy was super understanding that I was at work and couldnt take the call, called back later and they are sending me money for the money I over paid cause my work took over paying my msp without telling me after one year.

Doubtful someone trying to collect MSP payments is going to call me at 11:03 pm on a Sunday night like they did last week.  Just saying.

I talked to someone at MSP & told them I needed an adjustment on the bill.  I filled in the forms & sent them in.  that was over a month ago & im still getting bills with no adjustment & phone calls. they know this is under investigation for adjustment.  seems like one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing
