This number keeps calling and texting me weekly.

Wow.  So many of these posts are so full of [***].  It's embarrassing how stupid the internet has made people.

It is a 3rd party collection agent that works on behalf of Revenue Services BC.

If you owe money to the provincial government of BC, this number will call you.

It is not a scam.

I like how one poster said he/she had sent in paperwork to get assistance for his/her debt, but was still getting calls...a whole month later.  Guess what dumbass, it just hasn't been processed yet!!!

Actually, I pay my bills and get calls from this number. I must be without reason or uninformed.

I do not have an MSP account because I am covered for life under Indian Affairs. They call my number constantly and I have no bill to pay. It's a scam. Block the number on your phone and report the number. I have had my phone number for close to 15 years, so they aren't getting me mixed up with someone else. They are crooked people trying to do harm to innocent people who trust too much

BC Provincial Government uses a third party to collect out-standing MSP. Why BC is the only province that charges a separate tax for medical rates rather than incorporating it into regular taxes like the rest of Canada is a mystery.  BC'ers are being TAXED to DEATH! This MSP premium rate is the same for everyone, whether you make $50 thousand a year or $500 Thousand a Year.  You only get a break if you make under 35 thousand. ( and it is not much of a break either!)

Yeah, they just called me sending me here, I quickly went to the msp website and the number they gave does not match any numbers available there. I literally just watched a "Marketplace" episode from cbc about phone scams, like 15 minutes before the call. All other comments here suggest it is a scam as well.

I just sent a text to this number, after reading this statement. Auto-mated msg said it went to a landline? Is this number really legit? I am thinking it may not be.

revenueservicesbc.com when using Chrome refuses to connect "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED". The correct website is .gov.bc.ca, and the former does not redirect you to the latter.

why don't you block the number?

Okay so this will sound like it's a fake review or whatever but hear me out. I came on here to find out who was calling em and boy did I get scared. I thought I had been a target for some kind of scammers.

I called Canada revenue services at a different number to ask about this call, they told me they didn't have the number on file (very scary) and that I did in fact owe money. They  gave me a different number to try to reach MSP to figure things out. They told me that it was in fact them who I had spoken with the day prior (yesterday) and that I did in fact owe money.

It made no sense because I KNOW I am covered medically through the military. I explained my situation and submitted my proof that I do work for the CAF. They took $400 off of my bill and apologized.

Turns out all that happened was nobody bothered to update my information (my boss's job) so they kept charging for something I shouldn't have been posting in the first place.

I know I probably sound like I am trying to convince you to fall for a trick or something, I assure you I'm not. Feel free to respond to this post with any questions about my experience.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone.  It was British Columbia Revenue Services (who deals with MSP payments).

I called 1 877 405 4909 back (which is listed on the website)  and got through to payments. Turns out my phone number belonged to someone else previously so they removed it from that person's profile so I won't get auto dialled anymore.

It is from Revenue Services BC regarding paying the medical.
Calling after owing 50 bucks is a little bit ridiculous.

My employer pays my MSP, so why are they contacting me?

What ever you do! do not answer this call it is Spam! these people are crazy and they're asking for money they're coming from all over the world especially Pakistan they are crooks, liars and thieves and they prey on people! DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE NUMBER!!!!!

I got this number calling me, but left no message. Phone came up saying scam/fraud as caller. I am up to date on my MSP (I pay quarterly) so definitely can't be MSP Collections.  Be aware people! Scammers these days make it all so professional & legit BUT IT IS NOT.  Never give info out or confirm info they give you about yourself. Always call back company & look up number yourself, never call back a number they give you, just in case.
