Oops...(310) is the area code for LA, (415) is San Francisco...Have been getting irritating telemarketer calls from both of those, actually, but especially (310).

Just got the credit card scam call here a moment ago.  Tried to keep the call open by not pressing anything after the "lower your interest" message, but the call dropped anyway.  Sure would be nice to be able to tie up the caller's long distance bill with an open connection during prime rates.  The first minute is the most expensive, but I am still disappointed I could not have run their bill up further for wasting MY time.

Too funny!  Same scam as "Card Services," only without Rachel.  The pitch I got was that if I was paying more than 10% APR, they could offer me lower rates.  When I told the guy my current rate is 2.2%, he was jealous  :-)

Time to file another complaint :)

"2nd final notice regarding credit relates to stimulus...  heard boiler room in background no answer then when I said hello couple times person said hello and after few seconds hung up.

recorded messag. helo this is jennifer there is nothing with your credit cards now etc. press 1 to talk to an operator i press 1 james answers the phone, james i don`t have any credit cards, james replys with a smart ass remark then hangs up.  i wonder how this [***] would feel if someone finds his [***] and beats him to death!

I am on the "do Not CALL List" I get these calls nearly every day offering to lower my credit card rates.  It always says it is the last time they will call and then I get another call.  How can I get it to stop?

Called me and i gave them a credit card number and when she came back and said couldn't check balance because of the card not being activated then I stopped and asked to talk to someone else.  Thank God i gave them a card number not activated

I called the number back and got a recording, "if you do not want called again, press 1" and then the recording said that they would take me off their call list.  We'll see if it works.

this is second time in 2 days. said he was with card services. he asked if I owe more than $3000 combined on credit cards.  when i asked where are they located he hung up.

i called the number back and pressed 1 for them to not call back. i wonder if the [***] will put me on anotrher list...

These scammers will continue to call people because they get enough bites to continue.  If people would just give these [***] fake information when they call, they'd stop because they'd always get fake information and it wastes their time.  It could be a waste of your time, but in the long run, the scams could stop.

Your best bet for this and all the other nuisance calls is to get a digital phone that lets you block calls.  Panasonic has several models.

I let it go to voicemail, and they just hung up.  I knew it wasn't worth answering when I saw Card Services as the caller ID.

Received two calls back to back today -- did not answer, sent to VM.  They left no message.  These scammers always call my number and then immediately dial my husband's cell phone number.  We are both on the same AT&T plan.  I'm wondering if AT&T is selling our info ???   Thanks for your posts on these numbers.  It is very helpful to "google" the numbers to see who it is each time some strange number calls our phones.

just another i the long list of numbers I will put a hold on so they can't call again.  They will jsut call from another number but I am going to do it anywya!

CNAM - (253) 246-8518: This number calls 3-5 times daily. It's been going on for a few months. When prompted to be connected to a live person, that person hangs up, every time, as soon as I tell them to take our phone number off their list. How do I stop these harrasing phone calls?
