Caller calls me repeatedly, and doesn't say anything.
Called abot 7 or 8 times.

I called back and left message, and they turned their phone off.

Please help discover this person, so they can stop harrasing me.

    Thanks, and God Bless.

i made the mistake of giving them my info. realized the next day what i had done. had to close my bank account and open a new one, had to call all of the credit companies and flag my account. what a pain!!! she called again tonight and said that she needed to re-verify my info. i yelled at her and said that i knew what she was doing and to stop calling me! she got on the defensive and said "what are the prime minister or the president? what makes you so special? why would i want to steal your identity?" then she hung up! it is really annoying to be getting all these stupid calls!

12 calls in the past several days, same thing. A woman every time I've actually bothered to answer, heavy accent, or no-one at all. They have asked for me specifically each time, several times I have told them that they have the wrong number/no-one here with that name etc. Or I have asked them to stop calling/remove me from their calling list/ put me on their "do not call list" and several other variations of the such.. nothing seems to help. Calls back to the same number result in the voice mail/fax machine. The next time they call, I'm just going to go off and let them have it with every vulgar and obscene thing I can think of. It probably won't help any, but it might at least make me feel better. I agreee with the comment of contacting our local news stations, maybe we can actually expose these people and get them to stop. I don't know about the rest of you, but one of our local stations actually has a segment that does just this kind of thing. BTW, where is everyone else from? I'm curious to know how far this spreads. I'm in Longview, WA.

I too have received phone calls from this number.  There is a foreign speaking lady on the other end who also tells me that I have been chosen to receive a grant in the amount of 4000+ dollars but they need a processing fee of 359.00 and want your banking details, she explains that all American citizens are eligable for this grant, I said I am  only a resident so am not eligable, she told me that when once i have given my bank details she will put me through to another department and when asked if I am an American Citizen I should say yes.I suggested they deduct the $359 from the $4,500 and send me the change in cheque form, she said they were unable to do this as the processing fee has to be paid before they can release my grant. On questioning the lady more she said her name was  Roxanne Alexander and her ID Number is ECT 154,

Answer call from 267.851.6441 and 800.963.6230 and 800.377.7789, all have hung up on me. I call the number back and get the same answering message to leave a message or a fax. If I find out who these people/companies are I will have to file a harrassment lawsuit against them.  This is annoying as well as time consuming.

I already found out that the whole way these guys are getting everyone's information is online. It's gotta be from the forms online because I filled out a stupid form with the name Mr. [***] McWrinkle, and they called me asking for "[***]" I went along with it and let her go through her whole shpeal up until she got to the part about the account number, and she asked if I felt comfortable giving out the number over the phone. I said no, that I knew it was a phone scam, and tried being cool to the lady. I just asked to be put on a special no call list for people that won't be scammed, and she said yes, she'd put me on a list, and I've never been called since...

Just watch out the forms you fill out online and make sure it's a secure URL when you do...

I have been getting the same calls for a week now.  I have never answered and they have only left one message - well, it was like someone else said, poeple talking in the very distance.  First of all I don't answer calls from a number I don't recognize and second how did this company get our numbers?  Mine is actually my cell phone that they are calling not a home phone.  I will be seeking advice from my provider and possibly resulting in a number change. Good luck to everyone!

I've been getting these same calls, but never actually spoken to anyone.  Once I heard background noise and a distant voice but it hung up quickly, and that's it.  Other times it's just been 3 seconds and then it hung up.  I got the message/fax thing too.  I don't think contacting any news stations are gonna help.  What the guy said earlier about it being Russian or Ukrainian is pretty convincing.  If only someone IN Willow Grove or Philadelphia or wherever can figure out what phone company the number is coming through and just shut it down or something.

this phone # 267-851-6441 has called my phone over a million times, they just hang up after I pick up. If it's a telemarketer than why don't they try to "market" anything?? Why are they just hanging up??

Hey fellow telemarketer-haters, that phone# 267-851-6441 is still calling along with unknown calls and private calls now...so I did some investigative work. I called my police dept. and the police depts from Willow Grove, PA.(where the call is apparently coming from).. They have a complaint filed now, but one cop actually leveled with me and told me what to do. He said that whenever they call say the word"trap" and hang up. Usually, if you do that 1 or 2 times, they'll stop calling. The cop did a reverse 911 look up too and found no record, he said "if you ask me, it's probably a cell phone". He told me to call my police dept. and I already did, it seems no one wants to deal with this matter!! But, some other tips I learned, if you do not want to change your phone number, change your vm mess. to your phone # and a greeting that warns callers that this line is traced. Also, keep track of all phone #'s you recieve and make a list, then you submit to the police dept., it makes it easier to track these people. And, for added fun, if you really hate these people, like I do, you can screw with them. Everytime they call act like your 90yrs. old and have a hearing problem...whenever they call say "Mary??? Is that you?? Speak up child!! Mary, I wet my pants again.." Then tell a really boring story, that might get them to stop. Hey, it's fun and worth a shot. Let's fight back guys!! Oh, don't forget to submit your numbers to the do not call registry, it's free and may stop some of the calls.

I received a call from this person and in my current financial state I thought it was a god send. A lady with a heavy eastern accent told me that she was calling from American standard financial, and she had a grant for me that was going to be $4500 dollars or more. Then she proceeds to tell me I had to pay a $359 dollar fee for them doing the paper work for the grant and that she needs my bank account number.  To my dismay when I asked for their web address the lady became very irate trying to explain to me that she is doing me a favor and that she will still get paid her regular $15per hour if I refuse. She then told me that she was going to transfer the call to a third party to record our conversation. She told me that her name was Jessie and her I.D. code was 202. I then told her that I’m really interested in the program and that if she gives me her business address that I would be more than willing to give her my account number. Then she told me all she needs to know is would I like my grant to go to a correctional facility or charity I was angered by then so I told her which ever on she choose and then she rudely hung up!  If any one has any info on catching up with these people and putting a stop to their scam please contact me at daddylpc@yahoo.com thanx

Same heavy accent lady... same grant... same fee. I told her that I was at work and currently didnt have the information she wanted. Told her to call back later. She did call, and about her 6th call did leave me a message... her name is Amanda but failed to leave me a call back number I was so hoping to get.

What gets me is when the lady first called, she had my address information and work information. Kinda scary....

Okay so I got another call from them two days ago.  This time, she was offering me the grant.  I said "Do me a favor and never call me again.  Take me out of your database and don't call me again.  I know what you got going here is a scam because the U.S. government doesn't just hand out money."  Well she started get defensive and a little angry.  So I thought I'd give my acting skills a test.

I told her "Please don't call me again.  Last time I got a call from you guys, I was at my grandmother's funeral.  Do you know how embarassing that is to be in front of your entire family, giving a speech about how much you loved your now-dead grandmother, and then your cell phone goes off?!  (now I started fake crying, it was great)  It's really embarassing!  You have no idea how bad it feels to be at your grandmother's funeral and when your phone goes off, EVERYONE KNOWS IT'S YOURS!"  She started apologizing to me saying she understands how I feel and that she'll remove me from the list.  The funny thing is, is that she was right.  I haven't been called since, and it's been three whole days.  I feel kinda bad that I lied to her, but I would've felt worse cussing her out on the phone.

Also, she said her name was Stephanie.  I asked if they had a website; she said it was under construction.  I figured they must have scripted answers to any question you ask them.  It sounded like there was more than one person in the background, but it didn't sound like a TV or radio.  Oh well, I guess making them feel really bad will get them to stop calling.

Last time these people called me I too dusted off the old acting skills and messed with them a bit. I had a bit of a different approach because I was bored. I let the woman go into her routine for a bit, all the while adding a "uh huh? here and a "yeah ok" there, when unexpectedly I threw my phone to the ground and pretended someone had broken in and was murdering me. I had some handy sound effects readily available on my computer, and along with some well placed thumps it was actually kinda convincing.. at least I think it was, since they haven't called back since.
