I received a call from 1 267 851 6441 claiming I was going to receive a federal grant for $4,500 all I had to do was cover the processing charge of $359.  I couldn't find anything online about the name or number until after I had finished the whole process.  I was asked for my address, phone number, bank routing number and account number.  It seemed a little fishy to me, but I didn't have time to think it through all the way.  After going through a conversation with Hector Gordon, his rep number is 113, he sent me to Sherry who was in the verfication department.  She recorded the call and told me it would take 15-20 days to receive the packet, all I had to do was sign and return.   They gave me a date to debit my account and then the packet would be sent out after receiving the processing fee.  She gave me a customer service number of 1 866-569-2573 and then I received a reference number for my call. She told me that everyone receives a different reference number and to keep it handy.  Is there anything I can do to keep them from debiting my account, or is closing my account the only thing?

this lady called me on friday and said all of that information about the grant and they were from these american finacal and i recieved a government grant i was very stupid and gave them my information and asked for her to send me there information she got very rude and told me that she will delete my inforamtion and donate the money instead of giving it to me and hung up and i called the number back it was a voicemail and a fax number i cant get ahold of anyone. I want to know if they ever took money out of your account knowing your information. Or if you solved it beofre they got to your bank. I just want to know if they took the money out right away.

your best bet is either close the account or have your bank lock it down so only deposits can be made, or basically no money can be taken out unless YOU say so.  act fast.

We got a call from this number (1-267-851-6441) twice in the past 3 days. It comes up Fax Global on the caller ID. When we answer the phone no one is there.

They have called me 26 times in 5 days.  This is 100% harassment.  I got on the government's do not call list today and so effect so far.

My daughter has now received 2 phone calls from this number. The first yesterday (the 25th of June), the second - today. She called me immediately yesterday with the report that an woman speaking broken-english told her she was able to get 5000 in college grant money and that she needed her bank account info to transfer the funds. This call was made to her new verizon-cell phone number. My daughter did not give her any info, but told her to mail her the information. I *67'd the number and heard the message to just "leave a message". I am calling the local news station to get them working on the scam and to get the word out... Also, hopefully, they will contact the police department.

Ya, I got the exact same thing from some crazy lady named Susan, this lady claims just as she did for everyone else, 4500 dollars in a grant for a proccessing fee of 359.00. I was very sceptical when she asked for this info over the phone, I asked if she could send me a form in the mail or give me a web address but she had nothing for me! I didn't give her my info and when I hung up, it occured to me, SHE CLAIMED TO WORK WITH THE GOVT. ON THIS FEDERAL GRANT ISSUE AND YET SHE WAS ADDRESSING ME AS JAKE AND NOT MY LEGAL NAME OF JACOB!!!! You would think the Govt would call me by the name I'm listed and registered under! ha ha

I am currently investigating a case wherein the victim receives four calls daily from this number.  When she attempts to return the calls there is no conversation.

Core Communications is the TELEPHONE SERVICE provider. Please read a reverse number directory correctly.  Thats Like BELLSOUTH providing your number  to you.  Core is not the company.  It is unlisted, BUT IT IS A SCAM.  I see people trying to blame CORE COMMUNICATIONS all over, but please look closer before you state you know what you are talking about. Core is a good communications provider, dont call anyone, just provide phone service and people are slandering  them because they are not taking anymore then 2 seconds to look and assume.

PEOPLE please, CORE COMMUNICATIONS is the TELEPHONE Service provider.  Please read a reverse number look up correctly. It is an UNPUBLISHED UNKNOWN COMPANY but it is a scam so stay away, but please stop slandering poor Core communications who just sets up the switch and routers etc for phone calls to go through, like Bellsouth, or PacBell or AT&T.  Thats all they are.  Take more then one second when reading a directory search and then claiming you know something.

Other then that, did any of you APPLY FOR A PAYDAY LOAN LATELY?  Online?  Or something like that recently?  Wondering that as that is suddenly when I started getting the calls.

I am in San Diego, CA.  I originally got the call yesterday and answered because I got people out east.  I thought $4500 was a lot of money but something didn't seem right.  I told I would think about the processing fee and hung up.  She called only minutes ago and asked for my bank info.  I told her I didn't have it but I'll give it to her in about 15 minutes if she can call back.  She was okay with this.  I googled American Standard Financial and found all these postings.  She did call back and i basically told her to kick rocks.  I want to thank all of you because I was seriously considering paying that fee.  From her accent I would have ended up funding some sort of muslim jihad.  Once again thnks to you all.

Wow!! I received a phone call from this lady who sounded like she was from Nigeria or something yesterday, June 27, in regards to a "government grant" that I somehow qualified for because of my good "tax payer" history and some other poo. I love free money but this was way too fishy. I began to ask questions about the foundation and/or business behind the grant approval. She told me that she represented "American Standard Financial".
She then proceeded to tell me how safe this whole transaction was and asked me for my routing # and account # so that she could arrange for the $4000 grant to be automatically deposited into my account. At that point and time I knew this was all crap so I asked her if she could give me a customer service # to call someone today and discuss the process and verify a few things. THEN today, a gentleman called and sounded the same way that the lady did yesterday. Before he got into his spill, he told me that I was now eligible for $4500??????? I instantly cut him off and let him know that I had reported him to the police and the BBB. Now i only received 2 phone calls and that is it but it looks like some people have been harassed by these people. IF there is anything that I can do to help catch these people, Please Let me Know.
