I received a call from this so call company and they request banking information for a trade off for $4500.00 for $395.00 they are crazy and need to be arrested it's crime I will contact Yahoo and the authorities here in GA.

I received the same call from "American Standard Financial." I just wanna say thanks for posting it somewhere that they were fraud before it was too late for me.

I live in Minneapolis MN. I have been receiving these calls many times a day. I was told I would receive a government grant, I asked what I had to buy she said nothing. She asked me how I would spend my $4,500 and I told her I didn't want to tell her that. She told me about the one time fee. I asked her WHY I was receiving a government grant and she said because I had paid my taxes for at least 5 years, my cost of living in my state had increased and my income had not. At that point I informed her that my income HAD increased well over 20% each year for the last 5 years to which she replied "very good for you sir" and hung up.

I get at least one call everyday from this number, but as soon as I answer they hang up

I received a call from this number today and I didn't answer my phone,because, the number didn't look familiar to me.

i recieved a call from a lady with a very heavy accent promising the same--4500 dollars for a processing fee of 359.00.  I gave all of my information before i had a chance to think about what i was doing.  They company has since taken its 'processing fee' with no results as to when the money will be sent. i have called daily and they keep telling me that next week i will have the paperwork to receive my grant.

I fell for this just today.  I called my bank right away to see if they could help they are going to do everything they can to help stop the payment I am going to go in and have my account number changed.  HOw long did it take them to take the money from your account?

yup....these people are rediculous.  the new number is 270-477-3736, and the supposed cust. service # is 866-569-2573.  i was stupid...hopefully not too many more ppl are.  i just spoke with them at 540pm  wed 9/5/07.  these ppl really aught to be taught a lesson.  i really need money to improve my business, and i really thought that this was the answer....well  just another sucker.  things like that can be devistating.  good luck to anybody else dealing with these cons

These people have been calling me from the new number 270-477-3736, last week I had a notice from my bank that there were unauthorized attempts to access my bank account, even though I have never spoken with these people, so I am wondering if it is related. I have called back twice and told them to stop calling, but the calls continue to come in, either they hang up or no one speaks.

My husband received a call today, he qualifies for a grant for 4500, just give the routing number of our checkbook to pay a $350 fee.

Luckily he called me to ask for the routing number.. and of course as soon as I started asking questions about who is this company ... (american standard financial from philadelphia) ... she told my husband that she has no time and if he didn't give her the routing number NOW she will close his file and cancel it.
She said that her number was 866-569-2573 . I called it and pretended to be a 'new' customer looking to apply for a grant. The woman got nervous and told me that no- she could not give me any information such as their address, phone number of the processing department( she was only customer service) she told my husband that they were a governtment agency, told me that they were not...

DEFINATELY a SCAM...

So I got a call from them and they said I won a grant. I was happy. so as the time went along, i noticed that they needed my personal info such as my bank account number and they became very agressive when I acted like I didnt know what it was. I played along and gave them a made up one and then hung up when he transferred me over to this lady. They called back and each time they did, I acted like a different person. I acted like someone who couldnt speak english and then I acted like a polica officer lol. That [***] was funny!!! he got super pissed and eventually they stopped calling.I eventually told him that I knew that they were a scam and that if they called again I would report them to the police. I guess it worked because they have stopped calling me since then.

i was one of the ones like sweet with 3 kids i could really use the 4500.oo dollars.  gave them my info and they never took 357.00 dollars out so i called them and they said i canceled my request when i never did such a thing.  so while i was on the phone with them i looked them up online and saw all these reports and the accented lady said they were people waiting on their paper work because after they process our info it gets forwarded to another company. so it sounded like a scam and i hung up.
does anyone know what can be done abuot this.

I USE TO LIVE IN BELLINGHAM WA. YES IT HAS HAPPEND TO ME TOO THEY GAVE ME THIS FAKE TRACKING # TO LOCATE MY LETTER. I REALLY WANT TO CATCH THEM.NOT SURE OF HOW TO DO IT. BUT I AM GOING TO WORK HARD TO HAVE THEM CAUGHT.

on jun 12 I got a phone call from asf offering a us grant for 4,500 and it would only cost 359 dollars for processing fees. it took about a month to receive the forms to fill out. the forms said that the grant wasnt guaranteed.To get a refund I needed to send the forms back.I did so. After serveral phone calls and threats they said I would receive the money back by oct18. I will let you know.The numbers I have are: 450-633-0238 answering  service for this company, 866-569-2573 asf. My wife supposidly talked to a supervisor by the name of Susan King. She said they are having a lot of trouble with their systems and refunds. I feel we have been scamed, but we will see. one of those person call me too but it was a guy at first.they say i need to pay 359.00 for processing my paperwork and they will refund my money bac.so i waited a month and i never got the package so i call them and they give me a tracking number but then it wasnt valid so i call them bac but they say that they cant go to ups site from the office right now...so they hung up and i try to call bac but it was always busy.ppl if u could track them down plz let me know.anyways if u track them down..could u do something bout it like get ur money bac?

My son's fiancé was contacted by "American Standard Financial" (866)395-2019 about a government grant. They had all her personal information including the name of her bank as well. They also mentioned a 359.00 processing fee.
Not realizing it was a scam, she told them she would think about it and asked them to call her back later this month. Lo and behold an unauthorized charge was taken out of her bank out by ASF for more than 359.00! So far,Academy Bank has been very unhelpful.At this moment I'm trying to help her recover her money from the bank. She is going in the morning to fill out an affidavit at the bank to try and recoup her losses. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Good News.. My son's fiancé was able to recoup the full amount from the bank and for a 10.00 bank fee they will block all transactions from that party for the next 6 months. I suggested that she close that account and open a new one.
My advice to her and to anyone else willing to listen:
NEVER DO BUSINESS OVER THE PHONE WITH ANYONE THAT CALLS YOU.
Simply tell them, I don't do any kind of business over the phone and then hang up.
If you're interested in what a person is selling,hang up,do your research and if it's legit..contact THEM.
