I recieved the very same email in response to a craigslist post for furniture, sounded to good to be true, glad I googled "JOHNNYLAN0404". Thanks to all fo the insight!

Yup- he's a scam- I got a reply from him for an ad I have on CL. i did an hour of checking and found this guy in Arizona- he works at a tech company (figures!) and tracked his phone number- 480-893-6225.
I called and gave him the third degree- i suggest others do as well, cause if it's not him, then at least he is at a company that has the capability of finding out who is!

Received the same message from Gerald Darr.  I'm pizzed as his first message said "how do I find you" or something like that.  I gave him my address and phone number.  Then he sent me the same message as above saying I won an IPOD.  Someone needs to hunt these jokers down and skin them alive.

I got the same one from Gerald Darr as well as the one below from Richard Smith. Every time a great thing comes along (Craigslist) there are hundreds/thousands of A$$h0les that go and ruin it for the rest of us. I second the motion for hunting them down and skinning them!!!!!

Same story from me.  Selling furniture on Craigs list and got a very similar email from a supposedly 'deaf'  Kim Williams (kimiiwilliams@wikizplc.com).

Together we will end it for these SCAMERS!

I got the exact same message from Kim williams too! She sent me a check. Thank goodness I didnt deposit it and googled around to find all these examples.

I wont paste the message into this response because its EXACTLY the same as all the examples above and below. only the names have changed.

just got an email from Kim Williams [kimwilliams@wikizplc.com]  Changed her name from Janet Cole @janetisscole@wikizplc.com and Eva Knight?  Pathetic!

Wish I would have searched Gerald Darr a little while ago... his immediate response to two furniture listings and the poor grammar made me suspicious.

BTW, the 'CLICK HERE' linked to a spam site with a fake video player that I wouldn't click.

I got a response to my ad today from him and I just knew he was a jerk when his email said...click here and see if this is the same as the one you are selling. ( damn I posted 3 photos!) If so, I may come buy it today (Uh Huh and I was born last night-Duh)

I also got an email from "Gerald Darr" at technici@hotmail.com.

After posting my furniture on Craigslist. He immediately responded and told me it was illegal to see this on Craigslist....so odd!

Just got a message from a Katie Milton asking about "my item" ( a bed) on Craigslist.  The email was fishy and turned up no google results, instant red flag.

It's SAD that people in other countries have full time jobs trying to scam others.  Just goes to show how gullible people can really be.  I too got a suspicious email from KimWilliams <nkkwaye3@inbox.lv>  asking if my craigslist item was still for sale.    I reported them to the CL scam dept  inbox.lv is turkish lithvanian.  and nkkwaye is a Ghana name.   Please B careful
