Just had the same experience with Kim Williams.  Same exact e:Mail as others received.  Something about the way it was worded made me suspicious right away.   I am selling furniture for $300.  I did agree to sell to them and they sendta check via Fedex overnight for $2400.  I took it to my company's credit union and they had our company fraud dept check it out and found it was fraudulent.  May be stolen as it's a company check, not a certified check from a bank. So the scammer is out the cost of Fedexing it. I reported it to Craigs List.

i just got a message from "Randy Chamberlain" saying his is on a military mission. Guess I won't be falling for that! Thanks!

I just got the same email for a craigslist ad I posted.  I'd like to sincerely thank everyone on here from the bottom of my heart.  I did not fall for the scam.  I will not have any grief.  You are the best.  My response came from KINGSTONSHWN@AOL.COM.  What a jerk.  I hope he goes to jail.  I am sure and I hope that IC3 is on his/her trail by now.  

It is a good thing you are all out there taking the time to post here.  It sure has made things a whole lot easier for me today.  Take care and all be well with everyone of you.

OMG...

Just got a scam from "Aaron Brice" at 301-741-4870. At first I believed he was speech disabled and sent him a nice reply. His response sounded fishy and scam-like so thank goodness the red flag prompted me to investigate further and find this blog! My son actually is speech disabled from severe cerebral palsy and my son is also deaf....so someone scamming AND hiding behind a fake disability really pisses me off!!!!!

I got an email from these scammers today about some couches I was selling. I could tell right from the jump that something seemed fishy just from the wording, but I replied anyway just to give the basic info they asked for. Too bad I decided to Google the phone number AFTER I replied, or I wouldn't have! This time they are using the email <josephdrew22@aol.com> and didn't sign a name. I wonder why they keep using the same phone number though... What would happen if I called? Maybe I'll try it one day from a payphone, haha.

Yes, just received that exact e-mail in response to an ad I placed on Craigslist.
Thank you for posting all of this. I'm glad I googled the e-mail address. Nothing about it sounded legit!
