Guess you could say Eva strikes again....or tried at least. I was a little upset with myself that I fell for such a great offer for my craigslist item.

I am however relieved that I googled Eva knight before I even received a check or what have you.

Needless to say I emailed her/him back stating that I know she/he isn't legit. Haven't heard anything since.

I got the same email from this Knight woman today!  I was suspicious because she said she would take the bedset and dresser  and that the condition was fine???  Huh?  What condition?  How did she know the condition?  I didn't tell IT the furniture was in any type of condition.  This just raised a red flag.  I told her I wanted a money order, seeing the so called check would not cash until after I paid out her furniture mover.  

She got rude, and demanding; expecting me to feel sorry for her because of her disability.  I told her, if she really wanted to scam someone to move to a brothel in Nevada!

When is law enforcement going to do something about this evil set up?

My Mom posted some furniture on Craigslist. She has never used Craigslist and wasn’t sure what she was doing so when she got a response for her ad she wanted my opinion. She was hesitant to give out her personal information. She said she was going to tell him she would only take a cashiers check not a personal check. I had her send me the email and called her to tell her I thought it was a scam. I told her cashiers checks and certified checks are the way they scam you. I told her i would check out the info and goggled his email. Sure enough I found this sight. Alan Fisher sent her the exact same email you all have been posting. I hate to think what would of happened if she hadn’t called me. People cant afford to loose the type of money these people are getting from hard working individuals. I see this post has been open since February and hate to think how many people have been taken. I have sent the info to craigslist and will go to the FBI sight also. I am so upset i will most likely email these people back but I’m sure my complaint will fall on "deaf" ears. Please educate all your friends and family. Especially those new to the internet or selling sights. My Parents still believe a cashiers check is as good as cash but that’s just not the case anymore.

I just got the email. I have listed on craigslist before and have sold to local people that is why when this person was interested and didn't even want to see it in person I was skeptical. The email came from evaknightx@wikizplc.com. I also thought that it was odd that they did not sign their name to their email, yet wanted all of MY personal info. I do not understand how their scam works though... what happens when you cash their check? Do they suddenly drain your bank account or something? What happens? I am glad that I did not fall for it whatever it is!

Kim, it works like this...  You will receive a check for a LOT more money than what you are selling your furniture.  So say your price is $500, she will then send you a check for about $1500 or more..  You go to your bank deposit it...and you believe the money is there....but it isn't because we all know checks can take up to 2 weeks to process.  It might look good...but later in the next few weeks AFTER you have sent her or him the $1000.00 with a moneygram...that the check bounced!  You will then be out $1000 bucks and possibly your furniture.

you know you can call the Bank that it is Drawn From. and Check to Verify it. i'm surprised that these People are Operating Still. why have the Police not Busted them Yet ?

I am so glad the old brain is still working.  I got a reply to my item for sale on Craigslists from Eva Knight with the same response letter. I googled to see if the email link was legit, and found this posting.  I'm so glad to see messages from you and others to help us honest people from being taken.  Thank you.

Rediculous, pretending to be deaf! I also called the bank and they said that there was no such thing. Best part was I emailed him back and said I changed my mind and only wanted cash. He said the check had already been sent. 5 mins later the FEDEX did walk through the door. I emailed him back and said I shreaded the check. Wish I would have checked the email out sooner...hopefully no harm was done. Here is the second part of the email for those who recieved a check....

i placed an ad on craigslist and heard from this Eva Knight to  under 2 email addresses - evaknight  edg821@operamail.com and the evaknight@wikizplc.com.  She stated the same story as the other one, she is deaf, wants to buy my piece but will send a check and pay a movers fee to pick it up.  She needed my name address etc to mail check.  When I questioned her she sounded innocent and said she lived in NM  I aske dwhere that was and the same response.  Watch out for her -  after reading these stories I believe she is a scam  Thanks!!!

Same message to me to Imack!  LOL!  I told that Evil Knight woman, " $50????  Ha!  Lady, my fee for running around as a money changer operation for a shipper is $500.  I will deduct that from the amount owed.  The furniture company can pick it up then.  Never heard from her again.

Got the same message as the rest of you from "Eva Knight". I smelled a scam instantly and googled the name and was led here. I emailed "Eva" back with a link to this page and told "her" where to stick it. Why are people so scummy?

I GOT THE SAME MESSAGE FROM THE ALAN FISHER , I GOT THE CHECK IT SEEMED FISHY WHEN ITS WAS WAY MORE THAN THE ASKING PRICE OF MY DRESSER SET $350 AND SENDS ME $2,500 CHECK FROM CHRYSLER LLC. WENT TO THE BANK TO GET IT VERIFIED FIRST BEFORE DEPOSITING AND EVERYTHING WAS FAKE .

wish i would have found  this before.  I received same email from him/  unfortunately i fell for itand now i am 1700.00 in the negative.  Single parent mom with twokids going back to schoolnext week.  reported it to the police and there is nothing they cam do.
