This number is not Scam.  It is IRS and tax resolution office

not true,   they will call you back if you filed a 911 form with the taxpayer advocate or an appeal,  or regarding on ongoing audit.    The 304 numbers are legit.   I am a Tax Rep.
What the IRS wont do is call you and say that the police are coming or that you have a lawsuit or ask you to pay over the phone or with a prepaid card.
If you are being audited,  you will get certified letters before you ever get a phone call.

Doesn't mean scammers aren't spoofing the number. By the way, why did you come to a phone number look-up site when you already know who called? Not trying to shill for this scammer, are you?

Legit call from IRS regarding a form I sent in and extremely helpful voicemail left. No personal details of mine were requested.

Then why are they using a WestVirginia Exchange? The number starts (304) that is WV. followed by 350 which is the city of Martinsburg in WV.

Do yourself a favor and research phone number spoofing. Just because the call was legit for you doesn't mean it is for others.

Who is calling me.

This number came up as IRS West Virginia. I'm sure it is a scam since I don't live in W Virginia!

It's not the IRS. I work for the IRS and they do NOT call. This number has called me several times also.

This IS actually the IRS calling.   It is almost "unwanted," but unfortunately it is legitimate.

If you knew and were satisfied this was a call from the IRS, why are you looking up the number on this site?

Along with some sensible (and some bad advice) there have absolutely been SHILL posts here. I am thinking yours fall into that group.

What is legit for you might not be for others - and a Tax Advocate may or may not be an IRS employee. Besides, a legit number for the IRS can be easily spoofed.
