It was the lady that had just called me supervisors confirming my info I said "hold up hold up, take me off of whatever list you have me on. I am looking up this number as we speak and this is a scam" she responded quickly saying okay so you dont want to purchase any magazines and then hung up on me. SCAM!

OMG I was browsing the net when this number called. She stated everything you said and I then decided to google the business name and this is when I found this 800notes website. I skimmed through your notes and then decided to lie about about my age. I said I was 18 which im not and she  then she said you sound like your 30 which im not and she then hung up . THANKS FOR THE LOOKOUT!!!

I am glad that everyone who knows me knows I go by one letter 'K' and have NEVER in my time at Publishers Services spelled my name 'Kay'. I've not even heard of another with my name before this morning reading all of these reports. I resigned August 31 2009 and would prefer my name never be used here again. And for the record I know WHO wrote Kay's blog.

I just received a call from 1-310-539-1489 and she asked for my husband.  I asked who she represented and she gave me major attitude and said look " is he there, do you know him..."  I interrupted and said excuse me, first of all, you called MY phone and have no business giving me attitude and hung up.  She called back and said " you just cost him $25,000 you dumb [***]!" and hung up.  I called the number back and a small child answered.  It's a stay at home mom doing a telemarketing scam deal.  Makes it real hard for the real stay at home moms with real work at home jobs.  Although I doubt I will, if I find exactly who it was i'd like to have a few words.  Perhaps with this bs company they work for.  Real good way to scam people ~ call em a dumb [***]!  waa waa

they come thru with harrassment and little more.  you are obviously a representative in some form of said company and are attempting to dismiss previously stated allegations.  However, you fail to realize that this so called company is breaking the law with it's practices.  Furthermore, calling a contact a
"dumb [***]" for not willingly submitting to their line of bs is just plain rude.  This company's days are numbered.  Keep yourselves informed and research everything that sounds fishy before any disclosure of personal information and/or moneys.  Remember, you are smarter than them.  You've already proven it by finding this blog!  I'll be watching.....

OK, that is too funny. If you were not an employee, or however you are associated to the company, you would agree how RUDE, (to use your own words) it is to call peoples UNLISTED, CELLPHONES!! most people DO NOT  want your crap!! if they want magazines, they will go to the store, or through a company,( like those of their children, that sell them as fundraisers!!!) Why the HELL would I confirm your address over the phone? you know what goes on there, and as far as these people on here, so, they are all lying then?! I don't think so..your weak attempt to make the "company" sound legit was pathetic. how about get off of your ass, and get a real job, one that entails actual work. Then see how fast you give your address out to lowlifes who don't want to become a productive member of society.
*If this was a real company, trying to sell me what the heck ever, why then, was it that when they called me, asked for me,stated who they were, asked how I was doing, I asked what it was in reference to, THEY HUNG UP!!!! That does not seem like a legit company, OR good business practice, to hang up on a potential customer. Maybe, it was that I had the balls to ask and they knew they would get no where with me. I am not trying to insulting anyone and if it seems that way, I am truly sorry. But unless they are directly affiliated with a company you are using,(bank, credit card, ect.) AND you have actually gave THAT company your #, you should not give ANY information over the phone.OR if you do, they should not have to "confirm" your address" If they are getting the info from a legit company, that already has your address, there is no confirmation needed.
IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS!!!! also, NOTHING IN LIKE IS 100% FREE- words to live by..

When this girl called and said my name was entered as a finalist in the "Dreams Come True Sweepstakes" she said she represented Publishers Headquarters and that the sweeps was sponsored by a major credit card company, I told her I don't have a credit card, she interrupted to ask "Or a Debit card?", I said "No I don't have a debit card, please take my name and number off your calling list" she quickly interrupted again and said very rudely, "That's YOUR JOB, NOT MINE!!" and immediately hung up on me!  Now, I know that, by law, a telemarketer (a legit one) IS required to remove you from their list if you so request, so when she came back with such a snotty, immediate reply like that, I knew she was an illegal scammer.  So I'm contacting my State's Attorney General and the BBB to file a complaint.  I want to Thank everyone who wrote in to say the number originated from Redondo Beach, California. Hopefully, this info will be helpful.
