You don't need money. They legally have to pay your lawyer if you win. You get 2000. That's what I did. I had no money.

I seriously doubt it's only $2000 you get from a judgement

I can see you failed reading comprehension since that is what I said.  You get what you settle for, the minimum statutory limit which is $1,000, or what the jury awards you.  If your attorney only settled for 2 grand, you got gypped.  You should have settled for a lot more.

I was part of just 1 of several class action lawsuits against buttfolio, which was court ordered to cease calling, cease contacting, cease any attempts at all to demand payments, etc. I rec'd a small check from them also, which was part of the penalties they had to pay out to everyone as resolution of the lawsuit.
Did they cease robocalling 2x a day on my 2 phones?
    Nope.
With all the new robocalls to consumers who have good credit and no unpaid debts that might be lurking in the 3 Credit Bureau vaults, I wonder if the Equifax hackers sold their personal and financial files to junk debt brokers, who then sold them to re-debt collectors. Bec even noteworthy personalities are receiving robocalls from them.

    New Cell Number Owner
I receive multiple calls from this number and many others.  Some leave message, others hang up when I answer.  Of the times I've indicated I am a new owner of this cell number, they try to hang their debt on me.  How do we stop predatory collection calls when we've told them we are not the party they are looking for?

A robocall from UN-known that claims to be Portfolio Debt Recovery - a scam as I owe no one as I pay cash for everything - A search shows this number to be from Chicago, IL. A land line using AMERITECH ILLINOIS. They keep calling using a different new number after being told to remove my number from their call list and blocked.

When these bottom feeders at portfolio recovery call I start singing "Henry the Eighth" at the top of my voice. It is so pleasing when they hang up on me instead of the other way around

Condo Sales is one of the new Portfolio companies.....Am in process of trying to track down where said Condo Sales was from so i can turn these jerklips into that state's Attorney General for fraudulent misrepresentation. Feds ain't going to do anything about all their violations of FCPA rules and regs so figure can maybe get them in trouble with the state that some of their stolen phone numbers are coming out of. Theses [***] use phone numbers that are still legit but the principle name on the number has been deceased for several years and the remaining family member has never changed the number.

They keep calling- even when I blocked them-  so I created a « contact » in my phone and assigned a quite and pleasant ring-  and gave the name for this contact as Buckingham Palace - so it feels like the queen is calling me often.  Hehehe

Been calling me for weeks. Called back out of curiosity. The lady said she could not tell me the reasons for them calling without a SS number. I hung up. Beware.

I don't know who these jerks are since they never leave a message. If they are a debt collector they're barking up the wrong tree. I don't and haven't owed anyone anything for decades, so these people must be scammers.
