Please stop hating on these people for doing their job. It is not a scam to sell you a newspaper. It is not the government's fault that these people are calling you. They got your phone number legally to call through your local paper or magazine company and are calling you with legit offers. You gave them your phone number, so if you dont want them to call you, all you have to do is ask.

Don't you have a job at which you try to make money by offering some product or service? Don't hate these people for doing the same. Just find out who is calling and let them know that you would like them to stop.

They have to be scammers. I do not live in Texas but they are calling me. So what are they going to be selling me?

Then why are they calling someone who doesn't live in Houston.

I tried the 314-961-6200 number and no one answers. I was able to reach someone at 314-845-2825. They assured me that they would remove my number.... We'll see.

Gosh..I note that some of your messages are posted 2007--and here it is 2010. I am consistently getting calls from this number as well. I rush to answer, and no one is there.

Thanks for the call blocker tip.  I have been getting phone calls from this number for over two weeks now averaging at least two a day.  I don't recognize the number so I ignore it and gee they don't leave a message!  Wonder why?  Best to ignore it, setup call blocker, and I guess renew my number on the Do not call registry.

I just recieved a call from this number stating that they were calling on behalf of the Dallas Morning News.  I have called the Dallas Morning News and it is a valid company they use for marketing.

Same thing, frequently calls and hangs up as soon as I answer.

So I saw a post with someone's suggestion to call 314-845-2825.  The guy asked me if I'd ever called THEM to tell THEM to put me on THEIR DNC list.  I informed him I didn't have to because they are obligated by law NOT to call anyone on the NDNC list and I've been documenting their calls and reporting them.  I also explained I am a consumer reporter (which I am) and that I find myself living in the news story.  What could he do to ensure their company would not break the law again?  

I WOULD NOT WASTE MY TIME CALLING LONG DISTANCE.  FILE A NDNC COMPLAINT.  I called fishing for a story to help everyone.  My long dx can be written off. Go to:
https://www.donotcall.gov  and file your complaints.  The more they get the more PISA will be fined for not purchasing and following the list.  THAT is how you stop them

I figured out how you can stop this: so I am clicking around on the internet trying to find the cause of why the hell I am getting daily calls that leave no answer and do not say anything. It is because of the damn newspaper company in my area sold my phone number to a group called the Pisa Group. http://www.thepisagroup.com/contact.html Everyone please call 314-845-2825 and ask to be removed from the list and I urge you to ask how they received your number and contact them as well!

Guy was very nice and it was over in 5 seconds. He said he's let their partners know to remove it as well. Just do it.

OK, So I used to work the "The Pisa Group", that is who this company is. They handle newspaper accounts accross the country, they aren't a scam, but they are annoying. They are hired by different newspapers, ie, Oklahoma, Texas, Californina, Virginia, all over, including right here in St. Louis, to offer special promotions, and lower rates. I quit quite sometime ago, after over a year, but I recently signed up for the local paper here, and NOW I am getting calls every day myself from them, with some bigger and better deal. They have 6 locations throughout St. Louis, so although you may have told one to quit, the other office will probably continue to call. If you go to, www.thepisagroup.com , it will give you all the branches, phone numbers, and manager numbers, pitch a big enough fit, and they will take your number directly in and put you on the DNC list. If we got an irrate customer, we would hand write the number, give it to the boss on duty, and they would update the list immediately. Hope this helps some!
