I get a call from this number everyday and have for months in spite of registering on the Do Not Call registry. Whoever they are, they're in the St. Louis area and solicit everything from subscritions to carpet and duct cleaning.

Two calls from this number today, but I don't pick up unless I recognize the caller.

I can't believe that nobody can come up with some free, easy way to block this stuff on land lines.

I thought "PISA GROUP" might be legit, so I answered. Heard one word (male voice), then nothing but background noise.

This number has called before, but without the PISA GROUP display.

this # calls my cell phone 2,3,4 or MORE times a day

telemarketing does not automatically equate to being a "scammer" . If it is not a product you want to purchase, that is one thing. But nothing screams of scam from your description.

I am getting a million calls from this number and I need it to stop!

I was an employee of the Pisa Group, only because I could not find employment anywhere and they hire anyone.  For the telemarketers sake, we get screamed at daily by management.  We must make a minimum of 3 pitches to each call or we will be wrote up.  Our chairs are removed if we do not have sales, we do not get breaks if we do not get sales, and we are screamed at and cussed out by management.  It is the worst place to work and the lowest paid.  Contact John Pisa about the selling practices he enforces and how the subscription never ends for the people who do buy the newspaper.

Recieve unknown call from this number 314-963-8895.  I'm hoping to stop receiving.

What are you going on about? Assuming you know why "you" people are receiveing phone calls?

State do not call registries mostly expire periodically.

I have been getting calls from "news". I recently stopped my subscription to the Dallas News. I suspect this is a service for newspapers to obtain subscribers or resubscribers and that, in  my case, the Dallas News has commissioned them to solicit me. If you have  had any relationship with a newspaper, it is possible that they avoid the Do Not Call requirements by this means, by claiming a business relationship with you. Even if you are already taking a paper (or have an online subscription), this service may be trying to sell you additional services or an additional paper.

Call blocking is of course best, but many phone carriers do not offer this option (e.g. Verizon, at least in Texas). The best I have been able to do is note that caller ID says "news", so I do not answer. It is a nuisance, but less a nuisance than if I actually answer, which  is certainly not guaranteed to stop future nuisance calls from them.

Charles...I wish you came back to see if your plan worked....well I am trying to help my poor mother out...I am going to try the above....Good luck people this problem has been aggravating people dating back to (at least) 2008.  Its a seriously dysfunctional newspaper subscription company that the bosses scream like pimps to the workers and if they dont do enough sales, they take their chairs away.  Yes people, this is what we all won working with after a long assed day at work.

I'm constantly getting calles from this number 314-963-8895.  They do not leave a message or allow for me to talk to them since they hang up before I can get it.  When I call the number back, they do not answer and it goes to a mail box that is full.  I want to block this number from calling me.

My husband just got one on his cell phone. They don't say anything, just hang up. Luckily he can block calls, so he did.

Sorry to hear this....if they are treating their employees like this, then they should be reported to the State Attorney General's Office for unfair work practice.

Then again, the State of Texas is an "At Will" state, they can treat their employees any way they wish, including firing them for no reason, and get away with it.

Always a hang-up, no message, REAL IRRITATING !

I am getting 4-5 calls a day.They just hang up. Every one who is getting these unwanted calls should go on DO NOT CALL registry by US govt and file a complaint

I am on the do not call list and they didn't bother to check that. I am very old and I do not want callers-----------------especially at bed time --which is 6 oclock p m for me. I am going to the Federal Gov't about my complaint.

OK I think I found our solution....This bunch of a$$holes were calling my mother 2X's a day for a month and she was almost going to go to Verizon to have them change her telephone number.  This company is nothing more than modern day TERRORISTS.  

Anyhow....READ THIS:
I called 314-845-2825 and not so nicely told them off and told them repeatedly to stop calling my mothers cellphone and kept repeating her number to the man that picked up the phone and he said it would take 72 hours to begin working to not call her number anymore.  And I would gladly tell you that the calls stopped for my Mother immediately.  I will let you know if she gets one more "BOGUS" call hanger upper...
These people should be sued and thrown in jail....these complaints on this message board date back to friggen 2007.

Call 314-845-2825 and ask to be removed from the calling list.
