I'm getting several calls per day from this number.  I am also on the Nat'l DNC Registry, however, I agree with most, the registry does not seem to work for individual residential customers.  It is very annoying since I work irregular shifts.  I am forced to turn down my ringer and perhaps miss an important call.

I usually receive a call from this number several times a day. It stopped for a couple of weeks and has started up again. The woman said she was calling for the Beloit Daily News. I didn't say anything and she said, "Hello?" I said, "Please do not call my number and remove me from your list. You are calling me 5 times a day, and I am not interested." She said ok and that she would remove my number. We'll see what happens...

Also, Beloit is not where I live - it is about 3 hours away and the only connection I have with it at all is a cousin who lives there. Nothing to justify them calling my number every day.

Received a call from this number at work. Only once so far.

Having worked at The Pisa Group for nine months, I can 100% verify that all of the above statements are completely true. Not only did we call numbers repeatedly within the same day, but we also called numbers that were specifically notated on the Do Not Call list. To my knowledge, there still haven't been any lawsuits filed against the corporation in regards to this.

In summation, if you know for a fact you are on the Do Not Call list, you can get them into a huge heap of trouble and eventually make them pay a $10,000 fine for having called you while on that list.

Tommy Hawkes (Fetsus Pisa Group) is an unfair, cruel, demanding ignoramus of a store manager. He runs a very shady office, and within the past three years (this is how long they have been in business) they have had thirty complaints filed against them. Read more here:

Stop calling my phone!

I keep getting several phone calls from this number several times a day, all week long.

No messages are left on the answering machine when phone is not picked up.

Very annoying.

Brian, keep in mind that most telemarketers call numbers at random.  If their system is set up to call all the numbers in a certain group they might start with your prefix and then dial 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003, etc., and eventually would get to your number.  I don't know this to be the case in all situations, but if you haven't had any dealings with them, that's probably how they dialed your specific number.

I am registered with the Do Not Call Registry...I even went back and updated it a month ago as we started getting hammered with all kinds of solicitors, etc.  I also did my cell number.  It doesn't seem to matter as these calls keep coming.  So I'm quite confused as to why the Do Not Call Registry does not seem to be working for me recently....it was great for 2 years, but now it seems to have dropped the ball.  Just got a call from the 314-963-8895 number you all are talking about.  I just don't answer. Am thinking about getting me a whistle and when they call, just blow them away:)

OH if that only worked..in a perfect world I guess.  Do you know how many times I've told these yo-yo's I'm not interested...do not call me again...!!!!  The next night...here we go again...and the next, and the next, and the next.  My husband has resorted to 4 letter words and that doesn't seem to deter them either.  They are tenacious to say the least..along with annoying, inconsiderate, and rude.

I have also been receiving calls from this phone number for about 3 weeks.  They call between 4 to 6 times a day usualy starting around 9am.  When I answer no one is on the other end and when I don't answer they never leave a message.  I don't feel I should have to pay the phone company to have this number blocked.  Any suggestions????????????

It's the Pisa group. Thank your local newspaper for getting calls from them. Called them back at 314-963-8895 pressed 3 and it asked if you wanted them to stop calling the number you're calling from. When you press 1, it asks you to confirm that you don't want special offers about your local newspaper, press 1 again and it says you won't be called again,it would take up to 48 hours to process. We shall see, they've been officially notified that I don't want them calling here. Next stop, FTC complaint.

Well, considering the fact that people have reported that they are calling about a TX newspaper and I just now received a call about it being for a local paper here in AZ and that number is from Missouri??? A little questionable. Why would a company from Missouri call folks representing multiple newspapers? I get that outsourcing is one thing but that is going to serve as a disincentive nonetheless that a representative from my local paper doesn't even live locally, let alone in the state.
