calls all the time never says anything

Okay, this is embarrassing, but true. I was looking for a job on a popular website the other day and began to apply for a job in rating hotels that I stay in. My current job already requires me to stay in different hotels every week, so this seemed like it may be right up my alley. Once I began the online survey, I came across a checkbox marked *required* that I had to select to "apply" for this job. It said I must allow myself to be emailed by tobacco related companies or products or something. Can't remember exactly. Anyways, when I saw this, the red flag went up that it was a scam, so I just closed the page, but made the mistake of not deleting my information first, because not much more than an hour later, I received a call from 1-800-793-0282 from a young girl claiming I had signed up for a college degree program. I told her I knew that was not true, but I just started to apply online for what I thought was a job and asked her if that is where she got my number from. To my surprise, in a disappointed tone, she said "probably." Sensing she was probably some naive young girl that was duped into doing her own job, I politely asked her to take me off of their calling list, and she politely agreed. Well, today I just received a call from 1-315-207-4761 and with a quick search, found this forum. They must be buying our information from websites that are designed to collect it. Hope that helps some one understand their situation.

I have been getting calls from thjis number and they do not say anything and then when I hang up they call back

This number has been calling me for the past 4 days. I have not answered, because the first time they called, i missed it, and since I didnt know the number i looked it up and found this site.  I am hoping that they stop calling becayse it is becoming very obnoxious.

I have been getting calls from this no as well.  When I call back there is a answering service.  My husband slept with a hooker and used my cell phone to make the calls.  I'm wondering if this is one of the online "dating" nos.  Hmmmm,   make sure there is no hanky-panky going on in your home.

i recently filled out one of those stupid ads on the side of facebook for fun. whenever theres a survey or whenever you give out info and it doesn't offer a bulletproof privacy policy they can give out your info. Nothing to be worried about try requesting removal or blocking the number somehow.

This is definitely related to the computer. Have had computer trouble (trojans, viruses, etc) and now all these people have information & are calling. DO NOT FILL OUT ONLINE SURVEYS, THEY ARE SCAMS!!!

I have been receiving serveral calls per day from this number and again from 866-314-6957 or 866-724-4344. No one ever answers. I called the number back. The 866 numbers are always busy. The 305 number was a machine that said "thank you for calling our customer service, please leave your name and number"

annoying calls @ all times of the day

I've been getting calls from this number for the last few days.  They call multiple times a day.  I've never answered and they don't leave a message.  It's really annoying.  It's interesting to know they have been calling others as well.  I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry. I wonder how this person got my number. I did some digging and figured out it's a residential number in Oswego New York.  Verizon is the service provider.

i have kept getting calls three days in a row now when I answered the first time, no one answered, I still keep getting calls since then

I am getting calls too at all times in the day. how do you stop this?

Received several calls over past few days when I answerthey hang up.  started getting calls after trying to enter a Circuit City sweepstakes but when you get to the site its survey after survey and I quit.  I did NOT request any phone calls or e-mails on the part of the survey I filled out and I am receiving both.  Called the number back, recording says customer service, left my number and requested that it not be called again or I would contact attorney general's office and BBB.

I get random calls all throughout the day from this number, and no one answers.

I filled out a survey on brandarama.com (unchecking all the info boxes so as not to receive anything) and since then I have been receiving spam emails and this caller number on my cellphone. Serves me right for trying to get something for free I guess. I really thought it was going to be a reputable survey firm though as I linked to it through Facebook.

Calls and hangs up when I answer or when the answering machine answers. I don't call it back.

I HAVE RECEIVED CALLS FROM THIS NO. 315-207-4761 AT LEAST 20 CALLS IN TWO WEEKS, YOU ANSWER THE PHONE SAY HELLO AND THEY HANG UP. YOU CALL THE NO. BACK YOU GET A RECORDING SAYING THANK YOU FOR CALLING CUSTOMER SARVICE LEAVE YOURE NO. AND WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU, I WANT THIS TO STOP.

They call 20 times a day - wats up with that?
