Phone call trying to sell me auto warranty.

Constantly calling to renew auto warranty I never had-I went to https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and filed a complaint.

Got the same call about a month ago on BOTH my cell phones.  I reported both incidents to the FCC on there DNC complaint page.  I got two form letters (one for each phone number I reported) from the FCC.  One said there was nothing they could do, the other said they would investigate.  In each of the comments sections I referenced the other complaint and number.  I don't think anyone even looks at that stuff.

I just got another call today on my main mobile phone.  I should have known by the area code.  Going to try to block the number.

Here too in Minnesota - call received. Coughed up the ten bucks for a reverse lookup and I got this info. Bury the dirtbag with everything you an including BBS, Chamber of Commerce etc.

Toward the end these two questions came up and the responses are shown below the questions. They send us to the Donotcall Registry where we are shown two files informing us to have certain information available and call in (see below)

The FTC has set up a web site specifically to handle complaints against telemarketers in violation of the National Do Not Call Registry. Please click HERE to file a complaint.

HERE takes you to the Donotcall Registry. Now many of us are upset, to say the least, with this "service" but there *is* a place to lodge a compaling if you believe the company acted outside the rules of the DNC Registry. After all the DNC Registry is part of the FTC.

I received the same anxious warning that my car registration was about to expire. The recorded message seemed almost irritated that I'd already been given a warning once before and were peeved to be having to repeat it.

So I hit "1" to find out what/who they were.

A man answered, asking me for the make and model of my car. I then said, "Whoooooo are you?"
He said, "What?" I said, equally irritated, "Whoo ARE YOU?" and with that, he hung up.

I have been getting the calls but my husband usually hangs up. Tonight I answered it. So I thought I would play along. They told me they had sent me mailers and called me about my car warranty about to run out. So I pressed 1 to talk to an agent.

Whent he agent came on they asked for make and model. I said since you called me you should have that. Click they hung up. It is funny to, my husband gets these cards and he don't have a car regigster in  his name. Real IDIOTS

Same deal with the car warranty line. I hang up as soon as they start talking but they still keep calling back.  These calls are very annoying.

Here also, called telling me my car warranty is about to expire.  I am still driving the '87 Mustang I bought about 22 years ago.  Idiots!

Just got a call from 321-504-7429.  I live in NYC and don't have a car - I pressed "1" to speak with someone, told him that the car they said was in need of warranty renewal doesn't exist and to please take me off the call list.  CLICK, hung up on.

I pressed 1 to tell then to take me off and they hung up on me.

I just got a call from this number, same pattern: they hang up as soon as you deviate from their script. My number has been on the DNC registry since it opened. I filled out the FTC's complaint form, then called the office of the Florida Attorney General (850-414-3990) and registered a complaint there.

Chucky -- thank you for getting the name registered to this phone number. I have a funny feeling though that the scammers are elsewhere -- have programmed their phone system to lie about their number for purposes of Caller ID -- and that Mr. McCaulay's phone in Cocoa, FL may actually be disconnected. He may be deceased, that would help to slow down pursuers. Regardless, I called the local Chamber of Commerce whose number you kindly dug out. They do not take complaints at all and referred me to the BBB. I filed a complaint on http://centralflorida.bbb.org/ . Again, none of this will matter if the scammers are somewhere else and lying (electronically) about their phone number.

All of the same, hung up on me,... does anyone actually get to buy anything from these folks?

I got a call, and I don't even own a car! (Legally blind)

I also got a call from this number, 1-321-504-7429.  I got the same thing everyone else got, when I hit the number to connect to them, the phone rang for a couple minutes, they answered and asked for make and model, and hung when I tried to ask how they got my number. There should be a way to fine these people. Bunch of crooks

I got this same call from 321-504-7429 on August 13, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. (Central Time)but because I have an answering machine they hung-up. My caller ID indicated the caller was from Cocoa, Florida. I live in Illinois and don't know how they got my phone number. I believe its a scam.

I pressed 1 to speak with rep. He wanted all of my vehicle info, so I told him I didn't own a car. (I do--it's 12 years old and hasn't been under warranty for years). I asked why they were calling me and he said they'd call back tomorrow. What, like I'll have a car going out of warranty tomorrow?? What a moron. Bunch of scammers.

keeps calling to offer me lower interest rates on my credit cards,then asks what cards i have.this is a scam.i have filed several complaints with the no-call list and they keep calling.all ican find out is they may be in cocoa,fl.

Hang up caller, day after day.
