Just got the call.  Pressed one to speak with someone.  They asked the make and model of my car, I asked to removed from their call list and was hung up on.  Called the number back immediately and got the recording that the line was disconnected?  How is this possible when it just showed up on the caller id?

We get this call all the time. DNC only applies to manned calls, automatic dial ones don't pick up on it. You can trick them into thinking your number is disconnected by adding the disconnect tone to the beginning of your answering machine message. Google for a DL site, or use this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:IC_SIT.ogg  Click the link that says IC_SIT.ogg and you should get a download prompt. Or, you can play it while holding your phone to your speakers to record the tone.

I pressed 1 and it disconnected. When I call the number back it says the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

No way to report this or get it to stop if you can't trace it back. I never even spoke to a real person.

I looked up National Auto Warrenty on the web. I found a message from another website with a simolar name giving this # to contact the offending business. 1-800-649-1856
Their office hours are 9-5 central.
Lets FLOOD them with calls and complaints....Maybe they'll knock it off. If that doesn't work I suggest we contact the Missori state officials

I get the same phone call from national warrenty.  Some man answered and I told him to quit with the harassing phone calls. He just hung up.

just got the call and when i pressed #1 and asked for their physical address. She hung up. I called 1-800-649-1856 posted from "Bill" and they state their company does not make TM calls. Logging onto www.fcc.gov and filing a complaint on 321.504.7429

Several calls stating my auto warranty has expired or is about to expire. Neither is the case

I get calls from these jokers twice a day. They say they want to lower my credit card interest rate, but they don't seem to know that I carry no credit card debt from month to month. They claim to not be affiliated with any of my credit cards. When I tell them I'm on the DNC list they hang up on me. I don't have caller I.D. and had to *69 to get their number-at cost to me. Does anybody know how to make them stop?

I get one sometimes two calls a day from these jokers. Something about lowering my credit card interest rate. They are not affiliated with any of my credit card companies. Seems like they are just wanting my credit card or personal info. I'm on DNC list, and have asked them to stop-hang up. In fact any questions of asked of them-they hang up. The US government phone number I've called said to report them to the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357.

I filed a complaint today with the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357. Apparently what these people are doing is used pre-paid cell phones to make their calls for the sole purpose of getting credit card numbers or other personal information. They are virtually impossible to catch or stop. My suggestion is to get a loud whistle or air horn in a can, and when prompted dial 1 to speak to a "representative", then let them have it! Serves the scammers right!

Got a call from this number today. They told me that my auto waranty was about to expire. HA!!, I drive a 1965 VW Beetle, the waranty expired over forty years ago!! Stupid idiots!

A weekly call. They inform you that your auto waranty is about to expire.

This is the 2nd time this outfit has called.  I am on the no-call list and they continue to do this.  It's for my expired auto warranty.  I don't have one.  They are so full of crap.  This was a recorded call.

I get these calls too. The do not call list means nothing to them because they are scammers. Contact the FTC and DNC, they can take a report, but can't do much about it. I like the whistle and air horn idea, personally. Maybe after a few times of that, they'll stop calling me.

They called me today, funny thing is my vehicles are too old to have a warranty expiring.

This is a company that uses all sorts of call routers that show numbers from many different states and area codes. The so-called "warranty" company is a fraud, and is being looked at by the FTC - but it is a difficult process due to the fraudulent company's use of equipment that makes their calls nearly untraceable. I myself have lodged a complaint with the FCC after each and every call, and also with the FTC. If you have the time to register a complaint, it would tremendously help prosecution efforts (I know it's a pain in the butt to do this, but if you can, complain).

National Car Warranty, recorded message saying that my car's warranty is about to expire but doesnt specify for what kind of car I have and who it is, I know my warranty is not expired. It then gives me an option to talk to someone, or an option for the message not to call anymore, both are push button activations. If you push either, it disconnects the call. I tried to talk to someone to tell them to stop calling. When woman answered, I asked who this was and she hung up. I tried to call number back and recorded message says phone is disconnected.
