I have been receiving harassing calls from an auditor at Scientology of the Los Angeles, CA Org. for a week now.  I have not used a service from them - actually from the org in Arizona - in over 20 years.  They also got my cell phone number which is not even in my name.  Someone has given or sold my personal information to them, for i am very reclusive.  I have asked not to be called, to be removed from their call list, (I am already on the the national do not call list.) and upon the third call I threatened that i would take action against them if they contacted me again and hung up.   Immediately I received several text and phone messages.  Obviously they do not care about me or my needs.  Why would anyone want to be a part of something that cares so little for a person's needs or rights?  I will not waste my time talking to them any longer and will immediately begin the steps necessary to stop the behavior.  I am familiar with this kind of thinking.  People who act like this are very self-involved and, as a group, narcissistic, in my opinion.

For a very brief time i was staff in one of their orgs, as they call them, because i  was interested with the Dianetics side of things after reading the same titled book by L. Ron Hubbard.  I did learn some really interesting things.  However, one task i had when i became staff was going through old records, and organizing and updating the data.  They do keep all contact info and any other personal information that is gathered along the way; some of it was very old.  Soon, i became uncomfortable with the way they think of outsiders, especially that they are on a mission to "clear" (remove reaction as a result to past trauma) each and every person on the planet.  I understood from staff that it is alright to ignore what the general public or person wants in light of what they believe you need - regardless of your concerns or desires because it is best for you to do this, and because they are saving the world!  

Services were presented to me in a way that made sense to me and sounded reasonable. Especially as i was vulnerable in regard to certain self-esteem issues.  Also, I was looking for release from some past traumatic events that i felt was still anchored in my life.

At one point  I was placed on their e-machine and audited with out being asked, as part of an internal issue.  I was asked a number of questions that i was not allowed to answer as my responses were "read" off the machine.  This and a number of other issues caused me to leave the org.

They called 3 times in a row. It's those creepy [***] from Scientology. I told them to stop calling or I would call the cops.

I wonder if telling them I've been seeing a therapist for 1 year will make them go away. They've started calling my UNLISTED cell no a few weeks ago at all hours of the day and up to 9 pm-my time zone. Now I'm fearing if they will get my work info :-/

Knew my maiden name as well. This is Church of Scientology harassing people. I've asked them not to call and filed a complaint with the FCC. I suggest if anyone else gets a call from this number, and it is unsolicited, to file a complaint online with the FCC.

I received a call last nigh...March 7, 2013  at 9:17 PM. This is unacceptable as it was made after 8 PM and my wife is on disability. These people have to be held accountable!

Im only in High School and I have 20 missed calls from them, it says Los Angeles, California but I never answer to out of state numbers. What should I do? They won't leave me alone

I don't answer unknown numbers... If someone really wants to call, they can leave a message for me. Yet, whoever has called from this number just hung up. I've had the COS call me before from other numbers. I tried to complain, ask nicely to get taken off of whatever list they have me on to no avail.

I too am on the Do Not Call list...

Well, now it's just straight to voice mail... No message left, no answer from me. I'm not playing their stupid little games...

It's fantastic when I get half a dozen of these calls in one day like this...I suppose love comes in spurts, as the song says.

The woman that called me, Robyn was trying to establish if i had ever been staff and did I still receive mailings. I told her I was briefly involved as a volunteer but I had not made contact with them in 5 years because I did NOT want to be involved with their cult like activities. I asked how she got my new phone number and she replied they go through some public agency that provides them with current information on former members. I told her this is not ok and I do not wish to be contacted. She would not stop talking or trying to ask me personal questions so I had to actually hang up on her. This is kind of scary that they do physical searches to keep tabs on where you are.

Amazon and ebay have some great  blockers...telephones that block are Ok..but they only have 50 number max capacity..that is not enough when dealing with these douche-bags...the one I have has 1500 number blocking capacity and costs around 60 bucks.

This people calls to the point of harassing... They do not understand the meaning of DO not call and waste my minutes.

Me too!  Haven't done a thing in Scientology since I was about oh, 32?  I am now 56 and they still call constantly, not to mention all the crap they send me in the mail!

So if you want this organization to stop contacting you-- try using their lingo. Tell them you no longer have an interest in their communication--that you are requesting an ASK OFF.
