I called this # back and they said it was the mail room of the Church of Scientology - a cult. They claimed to be looking for someone else in a nearby county. I told them I was not she, did not give them my name, never have, and to take my name off of their list. They persist in calling, though I asked them more than a month ago to stop. I have never and WOULD never have anything to do with this organization or any organization even remotely like it.

I have ask them several times to stop calling my phone and job.  I told them that if they continue I will call the police he hung up and called back 2 days later so now I just hang up on them.

This number has been calling every night for a week now.  I don't pick up calls from unrecognized numbers, and they have left no messages, until tonight, when someone decided breathing harshly through their nose into my answering machine was the right way to leave a message.

Perhaps we should start calling this number back from payphones with sales pitches for any sort of pagan religion.  Perhaps Cthulu?  I know - a Cthulu for president campaign.

Got a call from this number on a prepaid cell phone. when I asked who they were all the girl at the other end would say was 'mailing dept' and refused any other identification. have had several calls since and will probably throw the prepaid away when the minutes are used up and change the number.

unlike a legitimate church they are a fee for service company. donations are not voluntary but mandatory and paid in advance for anything they teach or claim to do to help you improve. Their gauge of your advancement and commitment is how much money you can bring into the church by selling their product for them.

they get your numbers from the do not call registry and other do not lists. if you don't know how that works companies download the lists and are supposed to filter their phone lists against it and remove numbers from their list if it shows up in the DNC and block numbers that are on the DNC they don't have.

These creeps get the lists and (illegally) use it to build a database to call people.
even nonprofits and religious groups are federally prohibited from cold calling a cellphone so just start filling complaints with the FTC even if you don't answer the call. They are costing you money!

mailing lists are different. they have some of their computer savvy cult members hacking online phonebooks and property records etc to get names of potential members.

As for blocking calls on a cellphone; if you can, create a caller group for these calls, assign it a silent ringtone and no notifications so the phone doesn't alert you when they call. They (almost) never leave a voicemail. should give you some peace when the phone ignores them for you.

one of their goals is to claim they have converted the entire planet even if they have to lie about it by falsifying their membership numbers by claiming anybody they have ever spoken to is an active  member.  just because they have names on their mailing lists doesn't mean they are all really in the church. if they're calling you they are probably claiming you as a member too.

Don't get into a conversation with them, don't try to piss them off and don't try to out smart them when they call. they'll use it to rope you in. They are trained better then the worst telemarketers in convincing you to give their product a try. all they want is money. Just say not interested and hang up without giving them any personal information and don't let them piss you off when they call back. just don't answer the phone.

I am getting calls from this number about 2 to3 times a day. Never leave a message. I get a minimum of 5 pieces of mail from them a week. I also took a class from them 31 yrs ago. They're nuts. They quit mailing me for about 5 or so yrs and started up again. I use to write deceased, wrong address, return. To sender etc. nothing stops them. Now I let them continue onply this round  I don't let it annoy me. I actually get a kick out of it when I toss it in the trash laughing at all the money they are wasting on me. lol. They're printed material is very expensivy produced. I know they have their own printing business and they get p get a tax write off but at least I know they are not influencing someone else. Luv it!

Something called (Scientology) has been calling all three spirits up here....and well.. everywhere. I understand they have been bothering that guy down there to ....not so bad.
Why would they want to contact people so badly, then try to take every single penny they have, to be enlightened? God, the universe, and all above is free. All you have to do is believe. I am sick and tired of this cult calling me at all hours, sending me their bat [***] crazy promo, and showing up at my doorstep unannounced.

If you are fed up as well, then consider signing a petition that has just been put up at the US Whitehouse website. The petition is to call for the investigation by a Special Prosecutor into why the FBI/ Justice Dept/IRS have failed to investigate and prosecute Scientology - when over 300+ formal complaints have been submitted to the FBI.

This is quick and easy, and takes only 5 minutes. Only your first name and last initial will show up on the petition. There are already nearly 1000 signatures, and it was started only 3 days ago. I have been harrassed by members of this church for more than 13 years. Missed a call from 323-960-3543 at 1:44 p.m. September 28,2011. I worked in west texas in 90s and for work purposes had to train with this church in Dallas, NM, El Paso,  and with people from CA, Fl. In Dallas I was told of wealthy people with the church, people who own a mall, people involved in art, people in real estate, upper most managment of dallas based airline and when billionaire ran for president scientologists were all to happy. They still to this day engage in what I believe is organized stalking. They use their people. law enforcement types to cover up what they do or otherwise to create hostile threatening work, home, church environments. In the 90s they told of 20% of Methodist churches in Dallas being run by Scientologists. As one post showed  something like do not answer for this number that is what I listed on my phone. They had been told in 1997 to leave me alone.

got a call last nite.  I didn't answer.  My phone says, "PVT NUSTATS" whatever that means. It's hard to know what to do with these nuisance calls.  But caller ID does work.
