- Scared TeacherI recieved the same call on 1/17/13 on my cell phone. Listened to the message & stated there was a restraining order and had 24-48 hours for my lawyer to respond. Same message left on my home phone. They used my maiden name from 15 years ago. My heart dropped! I'm a teacher and do not need anything like this!! I tried calling the number and got the same message no matter what option I chose. "Your call cannot be taken at this time. Call back later." I have been trying to call for 3 days & no luck. After reading all the other posts, I'm convinced it's a scam!!! Still do not appreciate the stress & anxiety it has caused. Even though I have no reason to be worried (I have done nothing wrong), never know what people will do in such a sue-happy world!

- chrisI've received calls from these people several times about a summons being issued on me. I've never gotten through in returning their calls (all the "extensions" are either unavailable or no longer in service). I figured it was a scam. And I mean, no offense to anyone, but I'm glad to see its not just me. I hope they stop these people.
I also had a number that would just call constantly and everytime I answered, there'd be a beep and I'd be disconnected.- Caller: global litigation
- JaneeI received a phone call from Globlal Litigation Group on 1/21/13 stating I owe Almo Car Rental $1,422.71 for damages done to the car from a car I allegedly rented in 2009. I did not rent a car from Alamo in 2009, I have no need to rent a car. They asked had I been served a summons, I said no and the phone went quiet. I said hello and the lady said may I place you on hold. She came back a few seconds later, as I began to ask questions she was very rude interupting me by asking for a credit/debit card number. I stated that I will not give my credit/debit information to you and I have no documentation of what I'm or should be paying for. The address they had on file I haven't lived there in over 15 years. I asked could they fax/mail/email me the paper work and I was told that they will track my address by my social and mail me the information then and was told good luck to me in court and the caller hung up.

- Dixci| 1 replyMy husband has received 2 messages from this number. I do believe it is a scam as we have NOT done anything! I do believe it is a scam. Who do I report this to?

- MistyThey called me again, the third time in 4 days. Before trying to call them back, consider this...many scam artists will ASK you to call them back, since then their equipment will tell them your caller ID information, and maybe even more...so that they'll know they've reached a working number, and in turn they will send the information they have to every scam artist, telemarketer, political fund raiser, and so forth, that they can. Don't help them further their scams by verifying that you do indeed exist, and that you do have a working number. If it wasn't a holiday today I would have gone to the DA's office already.

- Sally| 1 replyMy 74 year old mother received a call from Global Litigation Group (336.283.0327). It was worried her non-stop. They state they have a restraining order against her.

- SallyI have called this number three times. When you press 3, it doesn't go anywhere. Next two calls I pressed 2 and got a guy. When I asked him to tell me about his company, he hung up each time. There was lots of voices and background noise.
- dlGot a call from them today. Knew it was bogus because I don't go anywhere or do anything. Called back just to get the name. It's Global Litigation. My guess is it's an agency that buys old accounts for pennies on the dollar that are either paid out late or outstanding and tries to collect. SCAM.
- dl replies to SallyTell her not to worry, it's a scam and block their number.
- laurenReceived a call from 336-283-0327 stating the same as all the complaint above.. They actually where looking for my Grandmother who has been dead for about 20 yrs... After trying to get some info from lady who picked up after pressing option 2 I mentioned she was dead and instantly she hung up. Who are these idiots?

- Bradley replies to isobelI received the exact same message as you did stating the exact same thing. I also tried to call back the number it gave me and every option I entered said my call could not be completed at this time. I have tried to research this group but found little. I have Nothing outstanding and no reason for anyone wanting to sue me. I am wondering what is going on? Please let me know if you find out anything. Thanks for posting.
- bradley replies to Kyle SpearSame thing here. I don't know what's going on with this crap. I have no outstanding/bad debt or anyone who would file restraining order. I would think if this was legitimate, they would have used a law firm you could actually get on the phone. What good does these calls do??? They sure made it sound threatening but yet I can't get anywhere on the automated service. I think this is a Fraud of some sort.
- bradley replies to tiffpI hear you loud and clear. Scared me to death too. Can't get anywhere on the automated system and I don't have anyone who wants to sue me. I don't know what to do.
- bradley replies to GavinsnanaThanks for your information. Sure scared me. I don't know why anyone would do such a thing. It appears to be a legit company but certainly not anything professional about them if this call is affiliated with them. I think I P/O'd a scammer email and got this in return. Indians?????
- J HensonI got a message from them today stating I owed for a credit card from Hsbc, however I have never had any credit cards in my life. The woman on the phone was talking very fast and the reception was terrible, this made me think it could have been a possible identify theft. So I called the bank and they had no records attached to my name period. Then I researched this so called company and found this page letting me know this was a scam. But it gave me the same message as everyone else...Hope they catch these fraudulent criminals

- Sammy| 1 replyWell, they are still scamming because I received a call at 2:49 pm yesterday 1-22-13. I did not get the message until today and it was the exact same words verbatim as all of yours. I hope someone does something about them. I don't answer phone number that I don't know. They all should have a name if they know me.

- Philip replies to SammyI keep getting calls from that number as well but never pick up. I filed a report to the FTC, then called them to find out what happened once the report was filed. Although polite, the FTC rep said that there was not much they could do about an individual incident but they would put my complain in their data base. Not much help there.
