The second time this number called (two days in a row) I answered and and automated voicemessage told me that the call was from cardholder services and to press 9 to lower the rate on my credit card to speak to a representative.  I do now own a single credit card, so I pressed 9 only to speak with a representative.  The guy picked up instantly and asked me "did you press 9 to lower the rate on your credit card?"  And I told him no, I only pressed 9 to see what credit card they are calling about.  He said that the way it works is my credit card company gives them the information when I have been making payments on time for 6 months.  This is where I told him that no company has contacted them because I do not own a single credit card.  He hung up on me.

"Carholder Services" is a front for an underground radio station, believed to be in the Boulder, CO area, which the FCC has been pursuing.  The broadcast location and caller id keep changing. Once you press '9' to tell someone you are on the Do Not Call List, you are 'live' on their air wave, which can broadcast locally for a mile or two, but also over the internet.  The more you argue or ask to be taken off their call list, the more the 'DJ' will dilvuge whatever information he has on you.

The best thing you can do is hang up as soon as you hear 'Cardholder Services'. And do NOT call back otherwise, you will be on the air.

Just got a call from this number in New York, came up as wireless caller, Her name supposedly was Leah. I kept the dumb broad on the phone for a good 5 minutes while I fumbled trying to find my cc in my wallet..  So after fumbling I found my Vanilla Visa 25 dollar gift card and proceded to screw her excitement up as I read her the magic number, she said she needed to verify my debt and she could get me a  much lower interest rate when in fact I have used all 25 dollars from the card and have 0% interest! After I gave her the magic number she ran it and hung up on me! So if any ya all want to mess with these screw balls here is the magic numbers for a visa gift card! The number is 4315 6873 3069 8529 Expires in 06/12, Security code on the back of the card is 362.. It is a visa and let me tell ya I haven't had that much fun screwin with someone in a long time. Take care all and have fun!

RoboCalls are illegal. I've been getting "Credit Card Services" and "Cardholder Services" (same spiel, same telemarketer) calls since 2008 with no letup. The Bush administration told the FCC to back-off on enforcing the Do-Not-Call list.

Report EVERY such call to the FTC (who has been tasked with stopping RoboCalls).

    https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

Then write a letter to your Representatives and Senators (unless they are Republicans, in which case they protect the telemarketers) and demand to know why neither the FTC nor the FCC are taking quick action against these calls. Also ask why there are no laws about spoofing the Caller IDs.

Caller ID read "Wireless caller" with the number 1-347-263-2551.  A recorded message said they were "Cardholder services," that there was no problem with my account but I could get a lower rate, and to press 9 to speak with a live representative.
My number is on DoNotCall Registry so I'm filing a complaint about these bozo's (no disrespect to professional clowns)

I got called by the same number.  Why can't the phone company trace the call?  They have to know what phone numbers they have given to whom.

This is a recorded message from Card Services, one of the nastiest telephone marketers.  I receive numerous calls from them.  I press "9" to talk with a customer service, and then when a person answers, I shout at the top of my lungs.  I hope their eardrum breaks or (s)he get a heart attack.  This is my sweet revenge.  You all should do it.

    Two things:

    Go to: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

    Enter a complaint.

Next, try and go the extra step:

Contact your Congress person. The FTC is not funded to do its job thanks to guess who. Press the matter and smoke out the clowns who think enforcing this law is picking on "creative" business people.

If these crooks are "creative" then Bernie Madoff was the Einstein of Wall Street.

This is the first call I have gotten from this number but like the other hangups, they are getting on my nerves. I am on the noc all list as well and don't not like to be interrupted when I am trying to sleep, I work odd hours and they seem to know just when to call.  They keep it up, they will get a good earful from me, FCC or not, you get my meaning, stop these idiots.

"Rachel from Cardholder Services" has called me tons of times.  I have asked to be taken off their list to no avail.  Apparently the Do Not Call Registry has been circumvented by these calls not originating in the US.  It will never end.

I got one of these calls the other day and punched the button to talk to a person.  You don't have to wait for the message to play, by the way, just hit the button right away.  When a woman answered, she started with a little spiel and then asked me if I wanted to lower my rates.  I mumbled, "I dunno."

She asked whether I carried more than some amount on a card (4000, maybe).  I mumbled, "I dunno."

She asked whether I was paying more than some rate of interest.  I mumbled, "I dunno."

She then said, "Well, let's find out together.  Why don't you dig up your credit card statement."  I mumbled, "Ok, I'll look."  Then I put the phone down, set another phone to speaker on mute, and listened while doing other things.

Several minutes in, I heard her say, "Hello?"  Then more silence until she finally hung up without saying anything further.  Total amount of their time wasted, 14 minutes.  14 minutes!  I can hardly wait for them to call again.  If we all wasted their time like this, they'd go out of business.

If you are on the "do not call registry" contact them and file a complaint.  They will contact the proper authorities.

Do not contact the company that has either called you directly or have left a message, or caller ID # on your phone.

    Annoyed in NC
I have been receiving annoying phone calls on both my home and cell phones from "cardholder services" offering to get me a lower interest rate on my credit card as long as I owe more than $3,000 in credit card debit. I have actually answered the phone a couple of times and expained that I didn't meet their requirements, wouldn't be interested if I did and asked them NOT to call me again! However, until today when I missed their call, I never had the opportunity to save the phone # from which the call was being received. The number of today's call was 347-263-2551.

Please do something to STOP these annoying calls for everyone who is receiving them!

    Thanks!

Calling them back in no way creates a relationship with them allowing them to violate the "do not call" list.  Track these idiots down, get there address/business entity name/search the secretary of state website/find their registered agent and file a small claims suit under the TCPA concerning pre-recorded messages....worth $500 per violation in damages.
