Call on my cell phone from this number.  No one there on the other end.

i JUST got this call too! he named my company and told me that the owner (by name) authorized for ME to authorize this service. which makes NO sense. the guy was SUPER FREAKING RUDE!!! and kept yelling at me and pressuring me to "just say yes" to cancelling the service. he told me that if i didnt i'd get sent a bill for $2000 to renew the service, and if i said yes and cancelled, it'd be a $499.99 charge to complete the cancelation of service. while i was on hold i was talking to the owner on the other phone and he said weve NEVER had an account with yellow pages online. when i was taken off hold i told the guy to call the owner directly and he wouldnt let me get a frickin word in. finally i had to yell at the guy and told him, i wont authorize anything, i'll give you a number to call him directly, and he WOULD NOT take the number and kept YELLING at me to just cooperate and kept saying well i'm sorry, but were sending you a bill for 2000.00 to renew your contract. he had an indian accent and was very difficult to understand (which i think is convenient for them) and i could hear my echo, which means that theyre recording all these calls. if you EVER get this call, just hang up before they say too much and put you in a corner.
i finally told him to never call me back and if they send us a bill, theyll "never see a penny from us and i'm not dealing with a scammer like you"

i got the same call saying he needed to talk to a manager.  when i told him he wasnt available he said dont effing lie to him.  i said excuse me?  then he proceeded to say you told me you loved me.  We are getting married.  i love you.  will you marry me.  OMG i havent laughed so hard in my whole life.  
i told him he had the wrong number and that he's calling a business.  i hung up and 10 seconds later he called back.  he did the same bit about 3 more times.  finally one of my male co-workers answered and the jerk on the phone told him my co-worker was gay.  after that he hung up and hasnt called back.

Received calls from this number several times.  It is either silent on the line or some one constantly saying "Hello" without  hearing me reply.  Also received many calls about the yellow pages.

Received numerous calls in the span of 4 1/2 hours.  They were asking for a business that is no longer in business and a person that hasn't been around for 3 1/2 years.  At first they said to cancel the account we would have to pay the $400 that we owed and when I told them that I couldn't accept or authorize any charges for the previous owner I was told that in that case the account would automatically renew at a whopping $3000.  At this time I informed him that he would have to contact the previous owner and talk to him and he then asked for an address to send the information to.  When told to get the address off of his record, he got very irratated and I hung up on him.  I haven't heard anything back since that time but it wouldn't surprise me if they tried back another day.  IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.

I recieved a call from this number, asking for my 89 years old Grandma claiming to be a medical office.

Yes, I just received the same call from a foreign representative stating I requested to cancel my free online subscription that would end up being a fee of $499.95 the second year. I informed John which I requested to speak with a supervisor that I did not authorize any type of yellow page subscription. They informed me that they would need to just send the confirmation, Well when they transferred me to confirm the details, English speaking representative Nikki came on to confirm. I asked her are you talking about cancelling the free online subscription with yellow pages? She stated to send me a invoice. I said no maam. I did not authorize anything like that. She instantly hung up. I tried to call the number that they called me from back (347)418-0489 and it had a busy signal. I called my lawyer and they said to watch out for any documents coming from them and contact them back. Be aware and ask questions when these scammers try to get people.

Got a call from 347-418-0489 early in morning waking me up only to answer to nothing when I called back no ringing no nothing so they have been red tagged on my phone.

Ha! I just got the same call from another foreign representative.  They said that 2 years ago we signed up for a "promotion" to have our business in the yellow pages for 1 year for free, and now it is the second year and if I don't authorize to cancel it will renew "tomorrow" and I will get charged $400.  All I needed to do is to get transfered to the "cancelation" representative to "authorize" the forms to be sent to me so I could cancel.  I thought this was very strange because usually companies call to try to get you to stay on not just cancel right away.  I told him this, but every answer he had just didn't seem to make sense.  Especially when he said "now I am connecting you to my representative and they don't answer ANY questions you just need to verify your name and address for the cancelation".  I was almost gonna do this but then at the last minute I said that this sounded to weird and I was gonna look them up on the internet and call me back in 20 minutes.  Well, thankfully I came across this sight ( and others) and found out my gut feeling was right.  He called me back within 5 minutes and I said I looked them up on the internet and he was a scam and "no thanks" and hung up on him. Don't fall for this!!

They first called me about a month ago.. while on hold I called up yellow pages by att and confirmed they were smoking some wacky weed! lol Asked the guy again when he came back on the line who he was from and he said yellow pages... told him he was full of it cause I was on the phone with them and then he gave me the website addy.  I put them on hold while I talked on the phone for a bit with the att guy... went back and they had hung up but then he called back and I told them they were scammers and they wouldn't get a dime out of us. He hung up again and then about a month went by and they called again today... I told them again they were scammers. They weren't getting anything I didn't agree to anything. He said well I'm sending the cancellation invoice out and I didn't have to pay it if I didn't want to it was optional but could he have a name to send it to I said nope because if I had an account with you then you would have that info wouldn't you. I also let them know that invoices are bills they are not optional.  I told them to not contact me again they weren't getting anything they were nothing but scammers and I would be reporting them to the FTC ( which I did)... I have added their number to my phone and listed them as scammers so if they call again... I will either not answer the phone but if one of my kids should answer the phone when I get on there I will simply tell them hey dumba@@ I wasn't born yesterday take your scam and shove it then hang up.

Oh one more thing... I did figure out that they got our biz info that they had from SuperMedia listing that I had actually done. I only know this because on that listing I had typoed in the name and they had it the same way.  Plus they put it into the wrong category as well.

btw 1 year paid listing is 499. which is the cancellation fee they are trying to get too... funny huh. They do also say that you can list your website for free on there but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone given that they are trying to scam folks!

My 88 year old mother received a call from 1-347-418-0489, "Rose", who said she was with a medical benefits company to supplement Medicare - dental, vision, hearing, etc.  Wanted her bank account number.  Obviously a hoax - this is disgusting.

These fools had me tripping,, I really thought we had a yellow pages account but boss said no finally he yelled at the woman, and also I told her I wasnt authorized to receive invoices, she's like I think you are,, what kind of people call with such false information trying to sound professional es rude

Some guy called and said he was from the Yellow Pages cancelation dept.  I told him that I wasn't interested, and he said F#$@ You! and hung up.

Got the same bs and eventually a young female dropped my call when I said it was not my business and couldn't evn say my name correctly.

I agree with everything you have said, I have been reporting these calls for over five years and still they call, the FCC or DNC people are just another government agency who do not do the job that they are paid to do, so what else is new????

They called me this morning did not answer and they did not stay on the line long enough for the answer machine to come on. I AM PRESSING *57 maybe when I get enough evidence against them I can file a complaint with the local police via the telephone company AT&T another worthless entity!!!!

They continually call and said that I needed to authorize a cancelation for my owner to be removed from the Yellow Pages online.  I asked them to call the owner back on Monday and they said that they will charge us $1,000 if I didn't autorize today. (Friday)  I kept telling them I don't have authorization to cancel or renew anything.  Asked to talk to the manager who said his name was Sean Kilpatric and then started using inappropriate language when I also told him I didn't have authorization to cancel.  I finally hung up and they continued to call me back 6 more times in a row.

I've gotten a call from this number twice with a break of a couple of weeks in between each call.  The caller was an oriental sounding woman who was reading from a script.  She said that I was going to receive an extra medical card free of charge to go along with my Medicare card. She read fast to keep her words going so that I would just answer her questions.  The script she was reading made it sound like there was actually an extra card being sent out to those who were on Medicare.  She read out my name and address and had me confirm that it was true.  Then she wanted me to tell her the Bank where my medicare check was being deposited in order to get the extra medical card.  Of course, that was the RED FLAG signifying with certainty that the call was a scam.  Also when I asked where she was specifically located, she would not answer with a "specific" answer.
