I received a call from this number.  My caller ID only showed that it was a Rhode Island call.  When I picked up the phone, there wasn't anyone there initially.  I kept saying "Hello, hello, HELLO?" then this person with a thick foreign dialect said "It's a Rhode Island call...my name is Nick."  I told him he shouldn't be calling me because I am on the the Do Not Call list.  He said "well I don't know about that, and then said I should be getting this call.  Then he started singing some kind of song to me.  I hung up on him, but something tells me this won't be the only call after reading other posts on here.  I turned around and filed a complaint on the Do Not Call registry.

This number called and some guy started asking a lot of peculiar questions.

I received a call from this number and the operator told me I had been selected to receive a free GE home safety survey.  When I questioned the person what the purpose of the call was, they (she) repeated what she had said earlier.  I then asked how they got around the national do not call list and the call was immediately disconnected by them

Just received a phone call from this number - it merely showed up as "RHODE IS" - there was background noise (like an office floor) and a woman that mumbled "hello" before hanging up.  I'm on the do not call list and they called my cell.  Disturbing that there are so many reports on this number.

Got a call on my work cellphone from this number a few minutes ago " I answered "This is Ron" a lady said "Hello" and hung up.  Very strange so many recent complaints about this non-working phone number.

I just don't pick up calls that I don't recognize. And I am glad I didn't. No message left - got the call around 6:30pm.

got a call from 401-401-0125 around 10:48am.  didnt answer and they didnt leave a msg, but when i called back the number was disconnected.  reported them to the do not call registry.

Called at 12:43 on May 6, 2010.  Background voices like a cubicle farm. I picked up, nobody spoke.  After a few moments I said "Hello?"  A foreign voice said "Hello?"  I said "Can I help you?"  The foreign male voice said "Thank you," and hung up.  Caller ID says Unknown Call RI.

Called me just now, I reported them to https://complaints.donotcall.gov and I suggest you do the same.

the number showed up on my caller id but did not recognize it so let it go to answering machine--which informs callers that calls from telemarketers or other solicitors will not be answered. The caller hung on until their call would register as an incoming call but left no message. How are these people getting around the federal and state do not call lists??

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone.  I could hardly understand the guy calling but he said something about a GE dealer.  I then hung up.  Will not answer if I get another call from this number.

The call came in at 9:30 and some man with foreign accent (said the company was PSS or BSS but did not give his name) started to harass my wife telling her it was a survey.  She told him it was late and not to call and he said he would keep calling back until we answered the survey.  I got on and told him we are on a do not call list and that I would notify our state attorney generals office.  He hung up.

Received a call from this number at 9:12pm last night...let the machine pick up, they hung-up.
Caller ID showed "Unknown Call -  RI".

They leave no message but they call every day for the past week or so

Mine also did the same and it said Unknown Name and i answered and said "Hello" and as soon as i did i heard it click off.

Even though I have registered my telephone numbers with the National Do Not Call List and my own state's do not call list, I sometimes receive calls from these renegade companies. However, if you had VoIP service you could go online and block the telephone number. I have been using  teleblend.com ever since SunRocket went out of business and one of the features they offer is control over your service.

I got a call today from 401-401-0125 and the man on the line spoke with a thick Indian accent.  He started by saying that it was not to sell me anything, and asked several questions about whether we had fire detectors, etc.  At the end of the 4 questions he told me I qualified for a free service.  I said that was all I needed to know, please remove me from their list.  He became extremely beligerent and demanding that he get his point across.  Several times I said that he was to remove me from his list at my immediate request.  Before hanging up on me he said that he'd make sure he called my number several times a week.  PLEASE get this idiot out of telemarketing!!!

i told the guy to take me off the list right away and he told me to go to hell... i started chewing him out
and he hung up. I am super pissed at this crap.
