- maidendX replies to WM| 1 replyPLEASE READ THIS IS MY STORY past the recent phone scam}
I have 3 lines on my cell account. Each got nailed W/ FAKE INTEROGATING TYPE PHONE CALLS} FROM THE number we are discussing in this forum.
I highly recomend to each & every one reading this forum to contact your bank OR any buisness they claim to represent.To inquire or check to see if they have a call record of contacting you!
Whom ever these POSERS are,They are posing as banks,buiseness,merchants,credit card companies,etc} Its obvious this is a bunch of {IMPOSTERS tryin to gain personal information}
Contact the people they tell you they represent; & let them {THAT CALL YOU POSING} know that there are laws regulating FTC & FCC laws as well as state & local laws & cell phone harrasment is a crime & inform them DO NOT CALL AGAIN} They hang up real quick!
Contact the such peoples,They are pretending to be} & ask did you place a call to me}
Letting this be known to major buiseness's is key in enforcement & protection from a consumer aproach, as they are on a different level of investigating, frauds w/todays technology being accesable & identiy fraud is rapid~
On a corporate level they have task forces,as well as law enforcement that can handle FRAUD & will not pose a threat to the innocent or unsuspecting folks.
& inform any elderly family or freinds that would not understand,As ive seen alot of elderly people taken advantage of in this manner.
Tell children @home not to give out any information about mommie or daddy being home or any type info thats to personal.
I filed a complaint w/the FTC as well as my bank & they was not aware of what the POSER was tryin to dish out to me at 9p.m @nite.{Pretending to be my banker} or affiliated by them to solicite what ever<?>
So my bank institution/investigators are goin to check into the complaint i filed w/them.They verified that they do not make phone calls about accounts to persons by phone especially @ that time of night.
Also be careful about emails,Sometimes clicking on a link out of curosity can give out an ISP address that can be tracked {or so im told} to your physical address & creditals...As once i was a victim of fraud by a fake email from a credible internet buisness.
Also make sure you clear out & get receipts from gas stations OR from the atm machine or debit card swipes.Make sure the transaction is complete.
*{My experience & victim of identity theft was,Some one had collected information from a well know local department store,WE ALL SHOP AT~
Had a gas station that sold gas in front of the major retail chain store.Once my bank investigated it i wasnt told much,But there were either corupt employess that took my information or there are drive by devices that can filter out or decode bank account numbers thru your debit or credit card per the machines that hold the information punched in at the pump~
*They got caught because they took my bank account creditials & went to a major internet company & purchased merchandise & the merchandise was traced to the physcial address...
***What is scary about this new PHONE # SCAM is the person that contacted me on my cell #,Knew i had recently placed a phone call to my bank from a differnt phone #? I smell a rat so its time to call the cat!!
also register your phone numbers w/the national DO NOT CALL LIST!
GOOD LUCK an OZ of prevention protects us all...
HAS ANY ONE CALLED THIS NUMBER TO SEE WHO ANSERS? I would but ive decided to let my bank & law enforcement, along w/a complait to the FTC & FCC take care of this & have told family members to be on the look out.
As common sense is the best guide if it sounds fishy~It probably swam to the surface for all the wrong reasons. - maidendXi received a call @ 9pm on my cell phone & it was a male voice posing as my bank or affiliation of my bank} wanting me to give a survey of personal information of my banking w/my bank...
i contacted my bank & they do not call customers on phone at night discussing account information.
so i followed thru called my bank to inform them of suspected fraudulent activity & they validated the fact they DID NOT CALL nor do they have 2nd or 3rd parties calling in thier behalf.
i filed a complaint from this particular number w/the ftc & posted to this website my insight & experience of this issue, as well as some advice as to what to look out for as ive seen this go beyond solicitation posing as some institution they are not & ive been a victim of identity theft twice EACH time had a different unsuspecting approach as to how they crimnial activity came to pass- Caller: 402-952-4444\Omaha nebraska ?

- Fields| 1 replyThe Gallup group calls my number asking for someone with the same last name but not me and I do not live in Florida! I've told them more than once they have the wrong number and asked them to stop calling, I don't care if it's for a survey. It's for a bank that I do not have an account with and the bank is not in my state so how do i get them to STOP?
