Have just had call #2 in 3-4 days. They say they are calling for Gallup Pols. I let him ask 2 questions and told him time to hang up
                                   .Question 1. How old are you
                                                  2. Do you have a banking source

Gallup Polls are using this #
I have had 2 calls in a few days, will call them to remove my #.
Can't imagine they really want me to reveal not only my age but my banking source???
These were the 2 questions he got asked before I firmly told him, no more questions.

You are one of the few that can read between the lines.  Congratulations!!!!!!!   Your assumption is correct.  They are really a  bill collection agency looking for info to verify if the person they are talking with is a person they are looking for or if you might be acquainted with the person they are looking for.  Once they find your banking info they can access it as bill collectors and get all the info they need to harass you.  They use the false fronts of a poll to get info from you.  They are not the real Gallup Poll but call themselves Gallup Poll Inc and even have a false web page.  Welcome to the world of BILL COLLECTORS.

how do think that your number was gained by these polls and telemarketers? they got your # from
the list ""PLEASE DON"T CALL ME"". Sad, but true. Makes you wonder why the first telemarketer
calling his potential customer was unable to reach Watson,, heh, heh.. Phones are to be used only
whenever you need to communicate to someone, other than that, be like Watson, turn the damned
think off so you don't have to listen to it!

So, this number called me, twice. Each time, it was for different reasons. One was "Gallup" calling for Surveys, and the 2nd was about my bank account.

I hung up, quoting as telling them, "Would you give a stranger your sensitive banking information? Don't call here again."

If they call again, I am filing a formal complaint to the company for harassment. Anything after that, I will file suit.

I'm assume debt collector. They're after alot of people these days, even people who owe nothing.

I have a non published number because it is a cell. it is on  the do not call list and i keep getting calls from this number! how the heck can  i block it?

When I say do not call I mean do not call if I want to give money to anyone I know who they are and I do not need a call

This number called me yesterday on a Saturday and I told her not to call again I am disabled and calls upset me. She said she would remove our number. I told her we are on the do not call register. Today Sunday at 4:32 PM Eastern time she called angain but this time wouldnot talk..just breath.

Once you acknowledge them with your personal info and age all they need are your bank accounts or where you do banking to legally access your account info as BILL COLLECTION AGENCIES so they can destroy your life......  Do not answer the phone or return there calls.  Hang up immediately!!!!  Do not say a word.  The collection agencies can record the conversation by rerouting the call to states like Oregon which allow unauthorized recording of calls,  They do it behind the scenes without your knowledge.  You think you are talking to the real Gallup Poll and maybe the callerid is in Montana but the actual call has been rerouted to a state like Oregon.  They also use voice recognition software and personality profiling software.   The FTC does not deal with Bill Collectors so maybe the best choice would be through your state Fair Trade Commission or a phone call to the State Attorney General Office.  Each state has rules for bill collectors that may in some cases be more stringent than the Feds.  The difficulty is determining which Bill Collection Agency is behind this but usually if they get no where using the false poll routine they will eventually start calling you using their real Collection Agency name....  usually about two weeks after they give up on the fake polling.  Now you got them!!!!

They  are a Bill Collection Agency using the false front of a poll..   Do Not Answer or hang up without saying anything.  They are trying to get you to converse with them for their voice recognition software.

Do not answer, do not call back, they are thieves (identity); we're on to them!  They are NOT a collection agency, nor a bank, nor a Gallup survey!

I receives a call from this number on 2/18/11 at 11:19A.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I have an unlisted number and am on do not call.  Nothing will stop these people.

I hope you find what you are looking for in life....  they  are a COLLECTION AGENCY using a guise of a poll.

Boy, these bill collection agencies will try anything using this number.... from the "Gallup Poll" to non profit organization getting info on you.  Welcome to the world of scum succors that found a bad debt for pennies on the dollar in the cesspool of bad debts..... the world of Bill Collectors!!!

I find it unthinkable that the do not call list has so many loop holes. Yes, everyone once again our rulers have sold us out. But that is what they get paid to do. Paid not by the citizens but by the special intrests.
It makes me feel like a piece of goods to be bargained over and sold to the highest bidder. In truth that is the way I think it is.

have been getting this call nightly. i am on the list not to get these calls. it is annoying

Another board full of complainers who have not life. And not a single mention of who the caller is.
