please stop calling my cell phone

Been getting unwanted calls, I am already on a 'do not call' list... its a waste of my time really

I actually answered after seeing it come across several times.  (I thought it might be from one of my kids, who borrow phones from friends when they've forgotten to charge their batteries.)  They said it was the Gallup Poll.  I told them to remove my number from their list and then hung up.  I've gotten 3 calls since.

received a call from this #. spoke to a guy who spoke on behalf of my bank and asked me whether i have made a call using 1-800 number to my bank in the past fourteen days. if i have, was i satified with the customer service ?

i was just currious then called back, i got a voice mail saying this was a "gallup" doing survey.

I receive calls every evening, starting around 6:30 for two to two and a half hours.  I also receive calls repeatedly from 703-398-0795.  This is only on my land line.  I've started unplugging my phone.  I can't take the phone ringing after seven or nine calls!

Yea my 7th annoying call today.... I really wish it would stop.....

This number has called my cell phone multiple times now. I won't answer, but it's getting really annoying.

I would agree with the Ronreply that it's a collection agency using a polling cover. Since when does a pollster recall a number that won't answer 4 times a day for three days in a row?

hey I started calling them back and hanging up when they answer do that over and over again and they take you off their list--- did it with another company --- they finally blocked my number

The first message in this thread was posted in February, 2007.  For 4 1/2 years, people have written that they are annoyed at Gallup, but that writing appears here.  Perhaps if Gallup had received the thousands of complaints directly, delivered to their parent organization rather than their hourly-wage phone workers, they would have changed their policies.  Perhaps not.  I'm fairly sure they are not monitoring this rant thread, though.

Don't know who the party is that continues to call my cell phone. They do not leave a message; I assume they are a solicitor. I am on the the do not call list. Please discontinue all calls.

They call me from 402-952-4444 "on behalf of the local hospital" and hang up on me when I won't tell them who I am.  This is obviously harassment and illegal.  How do they get away with it?

Got this call at work, got the missed call, looked it up, came on here and found out it was telemarketing.

When I called it back, it said it's the Gallup Poll.  HOWEVER!!!!! When they originally called me they pretended to be my bank.  DO NOT TALK TO THESE EFFERS!!!

They have computers that automicatlly dial any combination of numbers to make a call andit's not programmed to knmow "unplushished" phone numbers besides who they are listed to.

I've received three mysterious calls from this number and one nearly identical in the last couple of days. I haven't answered any of the calls, assuming it to be phishing/scam, and it looks like from this thread that it is. I also received a call from 240-402-952-4444 (3 extra digits on the front). Lastly, i got a call yesterday from a "blocked" number, which I haven't gotten one of those in a long time. I suspect it's the same person trying to trick me into answering with multiple calls under different numbers. None of them have ever left a message.
