This number keeps calling my cell phone!  I am on the federal government do not call list.

2nd day in a row, received phone call from same telephone.  I am on a no call list. Why does this intrusion persist???

This is not Gallup.  This is a debt collector.

They also use the number 402-206-7411. Jerks! I wish they'd stop calling! Everytime I tell them to stop calling me they hang up and do it a day or two later...

I hope to my god that these animals that call my number have their mothers get  Cancer. Worthless grabastic pieces of amphibian [***]!

I don't think this is Gallup polling, as when I answered the phone when they called, they asked me if I stopped by my bank in the last week. If they are legit, why would they only ask me about that?

I am also on the no call list and have several unwanted calls a week from various groups.

I keep getting calls from this number even though I am registered on the DO Not Call List.

I did call this number back and it very clearly states that it is Gallup.  So, next time they call, answer and tell them that you want to be put on their do not call list.  Please keep in mind that often the lists generated that they call from, or the lists to remove you from random/ordered dialers are most often created months in advance and you may continue to get calls for a while after.

Gallup is not some telemarketing firm, they are responsible and will honor your request so just need to be patient.

It's not a telemarketer or solicitor, it's the Gallup Poll. They take national surveys for issues involving the nation. :)

Ahhh you mean the professional privacy invading telepests. Best thing is not to answer. Second best is to lie to every other question -- if time permits. Otherwise a good blast from a whistle or airhorn effectively communicates the message STOP CALLING FOREVER. You may have to repeat, they're not too bright, if they were they would be doing something else.

Imagine if nobody could depend on polls anymore and people would actually have to think for themselves.

I got a call from this number as well, they have called me before, like your guys, no message left, the guy on the phone said he was us bank, he was doing a survey, he only asked me one question if I went to a bank branch on a paticular day, it didn't sound like a survey at all ! it is weird!

Do not want these calls

This is in fact Gallup.  They were calling to do a satisfaction survey from a recent visit to open a new account at US Bank.  Telemarketing?  Maybe, maybe not.  It was specifically related to business we had done and the banker had informed us during our visit that they (US Bank) would be calling to do a survey.  Total call time perhaps 3mn.

I received a call from this number at 7:55 PM, didn't answer, and they didn't leave a voicemail. Is there any way I can prevent this number from calling me again?

Same thing here. A guy named Charlie asked me about a visit to a branch of my bank. I don't like random people asking me anything about my bank. I just make a contact in my phone labeled "Do not answer" and all of these type callers there.
