I have received numerous calls from this number. Press 1 to get a "live" person and told them to remove me from the list, I know who they are and I am reporting them to the Attorney General in their state. They hang up. ANNOYING.

I've had a torrent of such calls in the past two months -- I hang up before they get past their opening "lower your interest . . . last chance" pitch. It's good to see  others are pushing back against telemarketers.There was a time when an incoming call usually could be looked forward to as something pleasant. Those days are gone. You have to be on guard from the get go.

These crooks are about the worst kind of scammers

Yup, it's noneother than 407-660-9999 with the return name of Robert Kennedy.  I've gotten into the habit now of googling any strange number..with or without a name.  Lo and behold, you can be SURE there's a blog like this attached to it.  

I NEVER pick up these calls.  Grateful for caller ID.  If I do not recognize the caller, I don't pick up.  If I'm mistaken and it's somebody I know who is using a different telephone number or a calling card, they will most certainly leave a message.  I then return the call.  

SO TIRED OF THESE PEOPLE!!!!  Scammers need to get a life.

You're 100 pct correct.  I feel so sorry for people who don't know any better and play into their hands....espec those who might be seniors or those who seriously don't have the wherewithall to know any better.

Mine is prety much like the rest.  It's an automated voice saying there is no problem with your credit card but they can lower your interest rate press 1 to continue.  The caller ID reads Kennedy, Robert 407-660-9999.  Asking to be removed from their call list doesn't work.   They keep calling.  My next step is to get an air horn

Same thing happened to me. I asked the rep to removed my number and he swore at me!! He said "f*** you, b**ch"  I filed a complaint with the FTC.

We keep getting calls from that no. & other numbers,& with the name of Robert Kennedy,at all hours,late in the eve. & early in the A.M.,my husband recently had heart surgery,my parents are in their 90s',it scares me when it's late,thinking it's an emergency.We are on the 'Do not call' list,hadn't been bothered til the last 2-3 mths.,now it's daily,sometimes 2 a day.

Get these call all the time, and it is annoying.  I called the number back one time, got a live person, told them, I am on the federal do not call list, so please take me off you list.  They hung up quickly.
They not only call the home phone, they call my cell phone!

Get an air horn, best idea yet.

I get a message every day from this number on some kind of credit card protection.

I received a call from this number.  When I told the man I was on the no call list, He started saying a bunch of very ugly language and I hung up.

Got a call on my cell.  Before I could answer, they hung up.

I have gotten several calls from Rachel.  One time I pressed 3 and asked to be placed on a "do not call" list and was told that I had to call my bank to do that.  I didn't think to ask which bank.  Today I got the name Robert Kennedy on caller id.  I hit 0 and it disconnected the call.

My number was already registered with the Do not Call Directory (www.donotcall.gov/).
I tried to call back and got a recorded message "number not in service".

The name on the caller ID said Robert Kennedy on one call.  Then another call from the very same scam about lowers your credit card debt came in from 407-545-9999 and Caller ID said Florida.  I get these type of calls all the time from all different area codes and it's the same scam.  They hang up if you ask them to remove your name.  The numbers all say "out of service" if you try to call them back.

Keeps calling with no message. Must be a big fat scam.

How do we report these callers?  I have about 3 different ones who call.  I wish there were an active group to police these fraud callers and make them accountable.  The fact is their caller ids are on the phone, and I am certain that if any policing agency wanted to; they could track these types of callers down and prosecute.  We need definitive laws to protect us.  We can report these, but clearly no one is doing a thing about it.  The sad thing is that if someone came to your work or home in person to harass or steal from you; they'd be in jail; but we the consumers haven't insisted with the lawmakers that they actually do create proper laws, then enforce them.
