I tell every one of these callers that the person they are trying to reach committed suicide because of telemarketer harrassment.  Then they say something stupid like, "Does that mean you want her name taken off our list?"

I got the same robert kennedy on my caller ID, along with Operator, 503-547-1819.  I have a REALLY loud police whistle that I have had for years - you can hear it blocks away, and I blow it as long and as loudly as I can.  I hope I blow out an eardrum.  If that doesn't work, I answer, telling them the person they are looking for committed suicide after being harrassed by telemarketers for months.  I have also told them that all telemarketers should be taken out and shot, and their carcasses fed to coyotes.  I really hate having a phone sometimes...........

Comes up V10151332570170 as the caller name.  I ran out of my 30 blocks.  Gonna have to clear them all and start over :)

Telemarketer. Used Robert Kennedy to trick me.

Received call around 2pm from 407-660-9999.  Caller ID said Robert Kennedy.  I answered the phone and a man said it was a sex call.  I hung up.  I assumed it was a scam and an attempt to get a credit card number.  In the past I have had calls from a Rachel with a recording about credit card balances.  I also have had calls with a Bank of America ID and a recorded message telling me that BofA was happy that I have an account with them.  I have no account with the Bank of America..

I continually get calls from this number and others wanting to lower my interest rates on credit cards.  I repeatedly tell them to remove me from their lists to no avail.  Now I have decided to waste their time and I keep them on the phone saying I have multiple high interest rate credit cards.  We get to the point of requiring me giving them my cc number.  I then ask for their name, address( they don't know this), company name, a return phone number where I can call them back, etc.  They get flustered and frequently hang up but I have wasted their time.  Today, one of them put the phone down and it stayed connected.  For 15 minutes I was able to listen to them (call center) trying to con other people.  When the person picked up the phone again,  he was surprised to find me still on the phone.  I informed him all my cc rates were less than 2%.  He proceeded to curse me, call me many sexually charged names, and laugh at me that I stayed on the phone.  How do I get them to stop calling (sometimes 3-4 times per week)?

I just got a call from 407-660-9999 and caller id says the name is Robert Kennedy. I didn't answer it since I don't know anyone by that name.

I received a 407-660-9999 call today followed by an immediate hang up. Please help end this. Thank you

I'm pretty sure you can call your local phone company and have these calls blocked, just like you would if they were a stalker.

These people call me once a day and today the man acted like he was having sex and talked dirty to my husband

I think they're gathering credit card numbers to buy drugs, or support terrorists.

I'm on the do not call list for telemarkerters and they keep calling anyway.  What can be done?

I have  no idea who this  is or why they keep calling. I have put this number on the US govt. "Do Not Call" list but it seems to have done no good.

These guys are telemarketers making illegal calls.  They "spoof" the Caller ID information that we see in an effort to make it harder for them to be caught.  They claim they can lower your credit card interest rates.  They cannot.  They are "phishing" for your personal information -- especially your credit card numbers.  Tell them nothing, not even your name.  Nada.  Zero.  Zilch.

If you press a number to speak to a real person, they will only laugh at you and hang up.  Some will even curse at you and will call you back more often.  It may feel satisfying to blow a whistle into their eardrum, but you are only asking for trouble.  Just don't speak to them in the first place.

Some phones or phone companies will allow you to block numbers that are harassing you.  If that doesn't work, you can should them to your phone's address book under SCAM or DO NOT ANSWER.

And, last but certainly not least, immediately report ALL of these scam calls to www.donotcall.gov.

I'm glad to see so many people know that these calls are from crooks. And that's why the Do Not Call law is ineffective--They're CROOKS! Block the number, let it go to voice mail or whatever, but do not engage them in any way at all.
