Recorded message about lower interest rates...

Received a call with a caller id Robert Kennedy.  It was a common robocall stating it was from my CC company wanting to lower interest rates.  On a fluke I let the operator come live.  I asked which my cc card and he said visa and mastercard.  I asked which bank and he hung up.

I just received a telemarketing call from "Robert Kennedy" at 407-660-9999 (on my caller ID) of "Card Member Services" or "Cardmember Services." They were offering to lower my credit card interest rates. When I asked the operator which credit card he was calling about, he answered something intelligible. When I asked him to repeat himself, he responded by saying "open your f*****g ears." I asked to speak with his supervisor, and he put me on hold for a few seconds and came back on, saying "This is the supervisor, can I help you." Clearly, it was the same operator. I then asked to speak to his supervisor again, he then let loose with a string of profanities, apparently enjoying himself. This is a scam. I will report this telemarketing firm to the FTC. I urge everyone to do the same.

Just got a call from this thought it was my credit card company wen I dialed one to speak with someone a guy came on n was like hi did you want to lower your credit card interest today I said oh I thought there was a problem withe my card ... the guy then says no you didnt you f-in b-tch then did a fake laugh n called me a [***] I handed the phone to my boyfriend n he said more but he was unable to hear n this was their first time calling....

Deep in the heart of Texas!   phone just rang... caller ID:  Robert Kennedy 407-660-9999  Answered,  much static, finally hung up.

and then googled the # and found this site.   Glad I did!

407-660-9999 ID name has Robert Kennedy--- this number if you call them back comes out as "number disconnected and no longer in service". Guess they are forwarding to this number.

PLEASE READ:  

We have a business (Armstrong & Associates) in Cincinnati.  Our phone number is 513-407-6609.  When customers do a direct-call back on a call coming from 407-660-9999, they are connected to our phone number.  (Note the similarities in the numbers.)

I believe this company is intentionally and fraudulently programming the call back number (ANI) to our phone number so that we get the irate call-backs.  This is horrible for the innocent people that are called and horrible for us as well.  Hopefully, this information will help someone track and stop these scam artists.

This company keeps using this number telling you they will give you an interest rate of 6-9%.  They tell you to press 2 to unscribe but they keep calling.

Calls me every month and then hangs up.  I do not have any other information about them.

Caller ID said Robert Kennedy, however it was Rachel from Cardmember Services with her usual speech.

My caller ID read Kennedy, Robert. They did not leave a message. I tried calling the number back and there was a recorded message saying the number has been disconnected. This was just one hour later from when they called.

I don't even have a credit card!!!!!

Ok so I just got a call from some "Card holder services"!!! WTF this guy comes on the phone and is asking me What color Panties am I wearing. Are you F'N kidding me. He said I called him. Ugh I'm so pist off don"t answer any call from this number 407-660-9999. What do i do how do you block those numbers!!!

I hope you canceled that credit card!

You also probably need to fill out a police report and put a fraud watch or hold or whatever with the credit reporting agencies.

I really hate these scammers who claim they can 'lower your credit card interest rates' but only want to steal your credit card numbers or even your identiy.  Never give them any of your personal information!

If you speak to a representative, they will only curse and hang up on you if you ask them to stop calling.  It's not worth the aggravation.

Add each number (there will be more than one because they spoof the Caller ID information) to your phone's address book under SCAM or DO NOT ANSWER.  (Some phones will even allow you to block calls from certain numbers.)  You know they're not a legitimate company when their Caller ID name is "Robert Kennedy."  

Most importantly, report each and every scam call like this that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.

I have clicked the dissatisfied button on Zwicker and Associates 15 time since September 2.  I get calls from them every day, even after sending two Cease and Desist letters, and telling them in person to stop every time they call.  Zwicker has called me 17 times since October 4th.  Nothing you do helps.
