- CourtneyI received an unsolicited telephone call from this number asking me about the form I filled out about online college courses. I am a University Student currently and would not/did not ask for any information about online courses. The gentleman on the phone wouldn't tell me how to get my number off their list, he just hung up.

- LisaI was getting multiple calls per day for weeks. Always hang up calls. And, always a busy signal when I call tried to call back to see who it was.
I called back today and finally got through. It was a call center for some career institute that claimed that we had filled out a form. He even had my ex-husband's name and my phone number. However, I've been divorced for five years, remarried with a different last name, and just never got around to changing the name on the account for my phone number. So, is this a scam, or did my ex-husband really drive 800 miles, break into my house, use my computer -- all to inquire as to online college courses from this place? You be the judge...- Caller: Career Institute

- BlackwellReceived a call around 8:15 a.m. specifically asking for me. Then they said they didn't have a message to leave and hung up. I called the number back a couple of times once it was busy, the other time I got a recorded message to connect me to some vague department but they never picked up.

- Rose in SCJust got a call from this number. Caller ID only said "CI". I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message on my voice mail. Doesn't matter what these unsolicated callers say or do, if I don't know the number, I always report them to the Federal Do Not Call people (FTC? There's a link on this site.)

- jmStarted calling 3 or more times per day. They are a leads generation/verification service. They get leads from internet ads that you would sign up to show interest in school/college. However, the "interest", like so many other adverts is very loose so that you will get calls even if don't remember specifically responding to a college advert. They first couple of days the calls are literally dialed by hand from more than one location so that more than one number shows on callerid. If after about 3 days, the hand dialing in unsuccessful, your number is transferred to the automated call center where their robodialer calls you daily. Basically, they just verify that you are indeed interested, then sell the sales lead on to more companies who then call you more. To get off their call list, call back any one of their numbers, and press option one to speak with someone. Just request to be taken off their call list, and they will do so.

- Anon410-774-8401,202-747-7385, and 303-974-1805 continue to call my cell phone. I checked, and they are all affiliated with college courses.....which no one has signed up or requested information about. I'm really tired of them calling. How do we make them stop?????
