Third party blocking service seems to intercept repeated calls from this number in July 2016.

To date we've had four calls from this number, starting on July 2, 2016 and most recently today, July 12, 2016.  The caller ID name info has always been set to "Chattanooga TN," and each time it rang only once, not calling back for a few days. Our third party blocking service (rhymes with SlowNoHobo) intercepts our incoming calls after the first ring if the caller ID number is on their blacklist or triggers their "Advanced Robocall Detection" algorithm(s,) so it's likely they were already clamping down on calls from this number before we got our first call.

I check 800notes when the blocking service nixes a call in case there's a mistake.  My thanks to all the folks for their posts above; I'm confident the service is doing a good job by intercepting these calls for us.  I'm posting about our recent calls in case knowing this CID number is already on the service's radar helps anyone else.

Called at 6:30 pm  (dinner hour).  Caller ID shows UNKNOWN NAME.  Caller is Wilkins Research wanting to do a survey on radio stations.   I said it would cost them $25  for me to answer.  She hung up.

calls but don't leave a message. I take it then it's nothing important or a scam. # blocked in the future

1- block their number 2- file a complaint to Do not call.gov 3- tell them not to call anymore

Since no one was on the line when I answered, I called them. Recording said it was a national research company and thy want opinions on certain products. Said they couldn't reach me and would call back. No way to opt out.

They're back. Sigh.

1) Blocking their number is always a great solution, if you have the means.
2)This has been identified as a survey company. (I can confirm that.) Therefore, nobody at any part of the government is going to care that they merely called you, and the Do Not Call list does not apply.
3) I told them not to call any more. Only time will tell, if they paid attention.

It's the political season, so answering this kind of crap call is more important, since they will just full your Caller ID with their calls, for the next two months. That's why I picked this up. Lady mumbled about wanting to do a survey and something about age and birthday. She had a pretty heavy accent, consistent with other comments here that the calls are from Chattanooga, TN. I asked her to repeat. She claimed she could not hear ME! I spoke up, much louder, and repeated that I couldn't understand her. Instead of going through her spiel again, she said she would call back -- I told her not to -- she hung up.

So, sometimes, even when you do what *should* put a stop to them, the calls continue.

Got a lot of calls from this number for weeks. Day and night . Finally I answered it, when I said hello they hung up.. Tired of this crap.. Say something if you're calling my house.
