- 12midnightThis is an automated call from CVS/CAREMARK....I finally answered and they had a prescription of mine that needed to be refilled. I have told them several times, their number comes up as "Out of area" and asked why they can't have it come up as CAREMARK....They tell me it is an automation system, and they make calls for a lot of
other companies. It is a legit call !!!!!- Caller: Caremark
- kate| 1 replyThis number of 423-822-2465 was shown on my phone as unavailable. They did not say they were CVS. They called me by name and said they need my date of birth mm/dd/yy. If they are CVS or not - I'm not confirming any info. Last week we received a call on the cell phone. The recording said they were at&t and were doing a security check, and needed the last four digits of our social security number. Fat chance buster. AT&T said they didn't do it - as I checked with them.
- Sharon KReceived same call this morning from someone identifying themselves as CVS Caremark, requesting my birth date.
I called CVS Caremark and they said they had received numerous reports from other people who had received the same call. I was told CVS does not make calls to their members without first notifying them by mail and to never give out any personal information . I called the 423 822-4265 number back and was asked for a seven digit security code. CVS said there is no
security code affiliated with their service.- Caller: CVS Caremark
- Mike M| 3 repliesTruly legitimate. As said elsewhere this is for CVS Caremark, which is the mail service arm of CVS Pharmacy. They have separate systems from each other. I have to maintain two separate online accounts with them. The CVS Caremark is often used by your employer sponsored insurance as a cheaper method of filling any of your long term prescriptions, regardless of who you personally get your prescriptions filled by. When you call the number back if you call from the phone number they have on file for you it will automatically pull up your account information on file with them. It then will request your DOB and mailing zip code for verification that you are indeed their account holder. As one reviewer said, this is a much cheaper way of filling your ongoing prescriptions. I hate telemarketer calls and report them as such when they are but this is not one of them.

- SCAM ALERT423-822-2465 IS A SCAM DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER
CALL THE LEGIT NUMBER FOR CVS CAREMARK HELP DESK ON YOUR INSURANCE CARD. PLEASE DO NOT CALL ANY NUMBER WHICH IS NOT ON YOUR INSURANCE CARD.
I CALLED THE CVS CAREMARK HELP DESK NUMBER , AND THE PROMPT CLEARLY STATES THAT IF YOU ARE A CAREMARK PATIENT THEY WILL GUIDE YOU THRU THE CALL, I SELECTED I WANTED TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE, AND TOLD HER THAT 423-822-2465 KEEPS CALLING SAYING THAT THEY ARE CVC CAREMARK AND IT IS ABOUT MY PRESCRIPTION,SHE TOLD ME THEY HAVE "...THOUSANDS OF NUMBERS" AND WE CANNOT KNOW IF 423-822-2465 IS ALEGIT NUMBER OF THEIRS, SHE COULD NOT VERIFY.
I MENTIONED I HAVE ALREADY FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FBI ABOUT THIS AND ASKED THEM TO VERIFY, AS THEIR A*** IS ONLINE NOW IF THE CALL COMES AGAIN, AS IT IS LEGIT HARASSMENT AND A SCAM ON ELDERLY BY "SCAMMER " WHO ARE USING THE CVS CAREMARK NAME.- Caller: 423-822-2465
- MegaDo not care what anyone say about it being "legit" the call origin is being spoofed with CHATTANOOGA TN instead of a business name, so they are scammers to me, no matter what they do after they get you on the line.
- Caller: Maybe CVS, definitely SCAMMERS
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Depoetic replies to GAM| 2 repliesI just tried to call and confirm the number as well. They young woman handling my call said they didn't have the capability to check if a number belonged to them or not.
I'd suggest everyone go ahead and call requesting confirmation - so maybe CVS will ultimately make that ability to check available to all their telephone staff. I will also be filing a complaint with Medicare & the Do Not Call folks, since the number that called was both automated AND could not identify WHAT prescription it was calling about!
CVS would KNOW! - Depoetic replies to Depoetic| 1 replyUPDATE - this is NOT a CVS number. I called and confirmed it is the INSURANCE side of their partner company CVS Caremark/SILVER SCRIPT. Silver Script is an insurance company with a Medicare contract. HOWEVER, the Silver Script employee that researched the outgoing number of 423-822-2465 had that on a warning list with them as a BAD NUMBER, whatever that means. The number that it leaves on your answering machine asking you to call back: 877-766-9481 *IS* their automated message relay number, but he shows NOTHING in the system that would have triggered that call for ME.
Bottom line - if you're getting these calls & they are not for you, call CVS at 1-800-SHOP-CVS or Silvrscript/CVS Caremark at 866-236-1069 and have them research the calls to get them stopped. - PkbThis is truly CVS Pharmacy. Had message yesterday, called them back today and they were contacting me on my seasonal prescription that needs to be refilled.
- maggieThe caller knew my name and said to enter my birthdate. If this is, indeed, CVS, then they should identify themselves in the beginning. I have never gotten a call like this from CVS/Caremark. The always leave a return-call phone number if I do not answer. So I'd say even if it is legit, I would not give them my date of birth without knowing who it is.

- SickofitCVS got into a lot of trouble in California filling Rx's that people didn't order.
Call corporate in Woonsocket , Rhode Island and tell them to stop harassing you with un-named robo-calls.- Caller: CVS
- 0'rly? replies to Leslie BellWanted to see if your refrigerator was running...
- PioThey called me , and asked if this was so and so. I did nothing, and a recording told me to call a number with an extension. I did business with the pharmacy 15 years ago. Don't know if this is my insurance's choice of mail order drugs with a sale pitch, but I don't wanna listen to it. I'm happy going to a physical store.

- LenAnyone with tech savvy can phishing a phone number and claim to be someone they are not. I would advise against divulging personal info to any caller you do not recognize. The criminals are getting smarter.
- Caller: not sure
- HarryThe number is legit; it's for CVS Rxs and calling about refilling a almost expire Rx. Unfortunate Caller ID just list "Chattanooga", as I was wary initially.
- Caller: CVS
- IrritatedYes, CVS and thanks to my health insurance changing prescription service in January I have to live with this intrusion. I don't' need them to remind me of anything. Even my new Panasonic phone will not block the number for some reason. Put in twice, two entries for the same number and it won't block it. Then they leave their "stupid" disclaimer. You just can't win with some of this government sponsored arrogance.

- Rose in SCJust got an "Out of Area" call from this number at 11 AM on a Saturday morning. My husband and I have had a CVS Caremark pharmacy plan for over 11 years through his job, and we have NEVER had them call us when a prescription was running low. We only have 1 prescription Rx and it's on autofill through Caremark, so there's no need to call us about anything (if it really is Caremark).
I'm not at a place where I can get to our account info at the moment, but I will follow up with CVS Caremark about this issue when I get a chance.- Caller: Out of Area
- tonyWe haven't used CVS for prescriptions for at least 5-6 years now. Horrible company to deal with as they set a new level of incompetence. If we are getting calls then whomever is calling is a scam.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JamesReceived a call from this number CVS care mart mail order. Wanted DOB and zip code - Not. Called CVS they stated they would never ask for this information over the phone for mail order. Filled complaint with them , for what's it worth. Call came from Chattanooga TN

- concerned replies to MKD| 2 repliesNO IT IS NOT. I just called my insurance company, and they said that they are aware of the SCAM.
