Any scammer can spoof a legit number. Inform yourself before calling people liars...

Not legit, as we do not have a CVS pharmacy and have never gotten prescriptions from them.  They immediately started asking or personal info....not happening!

If this is a legit call why are they calling people who do not have a cvs where they leave and are saying they have important info about my account. Have no account with them so this is [***]! The number they left is 877-230 1272 with a 7 digit #. Not calling them back when they lied about me having an acct there when we don't have a cvs  here.

Last prescription I had filled at CVS was over 6 years ago. They are requesting personal information without any evidence it really is CVS. This is the exact behavior of a scam artist or identity thief. Even if it's a legit call, it's really foolish of CVS to ask for this information, since they'd make it more difficult to for people to identify scam artists. Adding this to my call blocking list.

CVS Caremark has been my insurance provider's mail order prescription fulfillment center for years and I get these calls quite often. They are perfectly legitimate and the only thing their message wants to tell me is that a certain medication my husband or I take is due to be refilled and would I like to refill it now. If so say yes, if not say no. When I say no I am reminded that it's dangerous to suddenly stop taking certain medications without physician approval. That's the end of the conversation. This is NOT a scam and if you know how these things work you would realize the customer service people at the company are not going to know the phone number(s) the company uses to contact people. And your employer is probably not going to have this number on file either since it's outside companies that handle these. I certainly get my share of SPAM calls but this is not one.

Caller ID said Tenn,,,not Caremark associated....but did ask for me by name...I tried to call the number back and recording kept asking for a 7 digit security code which I don't have...I did call Caremark and representative said the number was Caremark but didn't show any reason that they should be calling me and would report it to his supervisor. Reporting to 800  notes in case you get a call too

no it is NOT a scam.
our insurance (employer plan) is thru aetna. a couple years ago they dropped their own home rx delivery & outsourced to cvs caremark. those of you who keep saying you don't do business with cvs are probably unaware of how many insurance plans use caremark. we get these from time to time.
they aren't "selling" anything, they just want you to refill in time so you don't demand that they "rush" anything to you.
it takes a chunk out of your day to call back tho & type in the code (which they left in their message, former poster who used not having the code as evidence of scam) and then getting preached to about taking your medicine like you were a child. i generally go into my plan & see what's overdue. it's faster! and it happens because we take half doses if some things, but it cost us less to get the full prescription & cut them in half! not going to tell them that!

Everyone keeps saying this is to refill rx or to confirm a rx - but we have never used CVS and do not even have one in our town - nor do we have Aetna insurance.  I get so many calls from this number that I don't even answer them any more.  And during the phone ringing I got a message on my laptop that an unauthorized network connection was trying to access my network and as soon as the phone stopped ringing the unknown icon disappeared. Luckily I was sitting at my laptop and my network box had not been turned on. This has happened to me before so that if I am working and do not need the internet my access is disabled. I do not have unlimited and my bill dropped after I started doing this.

Even if you're right, no legitimate company would ever call with a blocked caller ID.

Claim to be CVS calling my home phone which is a private listing and I never give the landline out to anyone but cable and alarm company.... This is a scam the automated caller knew my name but 'tried' to verify my bday.... I hung up for sure knowing that I have never shared my home number with CVS ever! Beware someone is stealing and selling private info out there!!!!!

Got a call from caller ID: Chattanooga, TN 1-423-822-2465. Their message said they were CVS CareMark Mail Order and told me to call back about a prescription at 1-877-774-1442 and they gave me a pin# to use.  I called my insurance company, GEHA UnitedHealthcare, to verify that this was a legitimate call because it isn't listed on the back of my insurance card. The pharmacy representative told me it was legitimate. I dialed the number but got an answering machine that said "Hi, This is Kirk. I'll get back to you soon." I ended the call as that didn't sound like a pharmacy mail order company answer and it didn't ask for a pin number. I called my insurance company back and reached a different pharmacy representative who said "Sorry for the confusion." We went through my prescription needs. It is hard to say whether this is a legitimate CVS CareMark number or not. It could be some guy who works from home processing overdue prescription refills for a variety of pharmacy mail order companies or it could be a scam. I feel better having worked directly with my insurance company representative at a phone number that is on the back of my card.
