I got a call at 6:03 pm today & they left msg something about Caremark & I deleted the msg.  My insurance does recommend me to use them but I never have & I get my medicine every 3 months for $25.00 & I don't plan to change.  I really don't go to CVS but that is the pharmacy my insurance call to use.  So at least I know now.

I received a call and have never used CVS. I have used the same Pharmacy for the past 9 years for ALL of my prescriptions and I have no overdue prescriptions. Besides that, they called my cell phone which is not listed with my pharmacy. So, if this is legit, why would they call me, on my cell, who has never dealt with this company. I know you do not have the answers, I am just posting this out there as I was searching the info on the number. Have a great day.

That's funny, when I called CVS they had no record of the number. I went to HR at work and they contacted CVS as they are our provider and they told us they have no record of that number as well. Sounds like BS to me. There is no way to talk to a real person when they call....

You do realize that just because you have CVS Caremark it does not mean you must go to a CVS pharmacy to have your prescriptions filled, right? Caremark is just the company that handles the prescription part of your health plan, plain and simple. I have gotten mine filled at Walgreens, RiteAid, local pharmacies, etc. while using Caremark the last 3 years and I have also used their 90 day refill service that saves me $$ since there are medicines I take every month. Really everyone should actually READ their plan coverage and what it means instead of shooting off at the screen online.

Got a call from this # yesterday at 9:10 a.m & 10:11 a.m.  I just called the # & it said something about Caremark & press whatever.  I hung up.  I don't know why they are calling me waking me up, when I don't get medicine of any kind from them.  I don't shop at CVS.  Besides, they didn't leave a message.

Sitting in my living room my daughter (visiting from Chattanooga, TN) received a call from this number on her cell phone.  Being a 423 area code she thought that it was a legitimate call so she answered.  A woman with an Indian accent did not identify herself or her firm so my daughter went on the offensive.  She asked if this was a collection call or an important call for her.  The woman said "that does not matter" so my daughter asked for her supervisor and the woman laughed at her.  My daughter again asked to speak with her supervisor and the woman raised her voice to talk over her.  My daughter told her not to talk over her and connect her to the supervisor and the woman hung up on her.

I found the phone number by using this website and since it is from CVS Caremark my daughter is going to send a copy of this posting as a complaint about this call.

I've been receiving calls from this number for about a month, and today decided to answer.  I have call-blocking software (Phone Tray), and every one of these calls is not being blocked which leads me to believe this 423-822-2465 number is spoofed.

Today's automated phone call stated they are from CVS/Caremark, and asked if I am (Name).   The system then asked me for my DOB, and I gave them a fake one and the system repeatedly asked me for my b-day.  Eventually the system said to call back 877-477-1442 and provide a pin # and then disconnected.  I phoned the 877# and was asked if I am over 55.  I answered 'no', and was give an recorded spiel; this recording was different than incoming call. Eventually the recording disconnected, so I then phoned the 423 # which asked the same questions as their original phone call.

Do not give out any information if you do get this call.  I just phoned CVS Caremark, and they did some research while I was on hold. They called the 423# number and were unable to connect. They then told me they do not have any affiliation with Chattanooga, TN, and that if it really was CVS calling, it should display on the caller id.

By the way, the phone number they are calling is NOT the one listed in my CVS/Caremark account.  Even though some report this as CVS/Caremark,  it's just smarter to never give out personal information.

Received an automated robo call from this number at home.  It said: "This call is for <my name> with important prescription refill information."  The robo dialer tried to confirm that it was speaking to <my name>.  When it could not (because it was the vm system), it said to call 866-537-2393 and when prompted, enter your personal 7 digit code.  It stated the code.  When I called the 866 number, the recording said:  Thank you for calling <my insurance company>, please enter your personalized 7 digit code.  I did so.  It then asked me to state my date of birth at which point I hung up for the very reason that many have stated here.  In this day and age when identity theft, spam and data tracking is big business, when you receive an unsolicited call from an automated system that doesn't identify the caller and it asks for personal information, you'd be stupid to just give it up.

I called my insurance company and they checked both the medical side of my plan and the prescription side and they said neither made any such call.  I gave them the 866-537-2393 and they said it is not one of their numbers.  I googled that number and found one report where a poster said: "Called pretending to be my insurance company".

Since the original robo call came from 423-822-2465 I googled it and found this page.  So now I know that the call came from CVS.  Yes I fill my prescriptions from CVS but why all the subterfuge?  Why didn't the caller ID indicate the call came from CVS and why did CVS pretend at 866-537-2393 that they were my insurance company calling?  I am on the DNC list and I still receive shady calls from unknown area codes and "private callers" every day.  Why would CVS choose to employ the standard phone tactics of these shysters and telemarketers?  Do they really need to do this?

So now I know the call was probably legit but it doesn't matter.  The reason identity theft is so easy is that so many people don't think twice about handing out personal info to just about anybody who asks.  CVS is a reputable company but these phone shenanigans are not.

I mark this as spam because the robo call identified as cvs caremark but I have absolutely ZERO prescriptions with cvs so there is absolutely no reason for calling me and asking me to call them back with a reference number.

This phone number belongs to CVS Caremark mail order service. They were calling to inform us a Rx was ready for a refill. There is no need to be paranoid about this caller. They are legitimate.

I just rec'd a call. A simple rule of thumb in our house: if they block who the caller is, then don't pick up. Much easier.

1-423-822-2465  Chattanooga, TN  Left message saying it was CVS and important for me to call them back.  Said to call 1-877-495-0477 and enter a 7 digit pin.  I called the CVS number on my card and they told me they have no record of trying to communicate with me, so it WASN'T CVS.  She said if they tried to get ahold of me it would show it. BEWARE of this number, don't answer it and block it for your safety.
