Wanted to know my 7 digit ID number.  I hung up.

This is legit. Today's recording a half hour ago left toll free #1-877-766-9481. It was to remind me that I had 1 or more prescriptions that were going to expire, which was true. I had MD appt yesterday & will be taking the RXs to be filled today.

This is my 2nd post. I called # on back of my CVS Caremark ExtraCare Health card & got a very nice Oklahoma operator. They do use an automated message that reminds the customer when to refill their prescriptions.  Do not try calling the number you see because all calls are "outgoing calls only". The same way emails cannot be responded too. She said the numbers will be different, depending on what towers pick up signal. If you want to opt out from receiving the calls, call the # on back of your CVS card & you will be connected to a person who will remove you from their call list. They will ask you those security questions to verify the information you have registered with them when you set up your CVS account online or in person. If you do not have an account with CVS & you or a friend has a computer, access info from CVS.com for contact #s for Customer Service.    1-800-SHOP-CVS (1-800-746-7287) Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM ET. Closed major holidays. Ironically, we have a local business that has the first 7 digits  423-82222.

This really is from CVS-Caremark.  That is where my prescriptions come from.  I have this phone number is on my valid list from them and is one of several they use.

My caller ID gave the number 423-822-2465, but they left a message on my answering machine to call 877-495-0477. and then to give a seven digit.  I called back and they wanted by birthdate.

Not sure who they are in all honesty.

If this is a legit call, why can't they provide a correct caller ID?  Not just Tennessee Caller!!!!!!

Mixed feelings, is it a scam or is it Atna ... Nothing to do with cvs until I called the number,,, I think it's a scam...  Just like the IRS scam ,,,, I don't deal with cvs... It seems that this number has been reported as good and bad.  In my case it is a legit number, from CVS Caremark Mail Order Service.  I called back and they prescription reminders.  Yes, you do call back on a 1-877 number.

"Unknown Name"...  I answered, and they claimed to be CVS pharmacy - but I live in Colorado, and CVS has NO PHARMACIES IN COLORADO.   It was an automated robot, asking for me by name.   OK.   But when it asked for my birthday - NO!   I hung up.

That call was FAKE, because CVS has NO stores in Colorado.

I didn't answer - never do unless I recognize the number . I asked at my pharmacy, which is at Target, but run by CVS, and was told to ignore the calls. They left a VM. and when I checked it, they were wanting me to verify is I was really kit. I hung up. and suggest  you do the same.

I just now called CVS Caremark and they stated clearly that this phone number is not associated with them.  My guess is it is the Canadian Online Pharmacy attempting to scam people using another illegal method.

This is indeed a scam. We don't even USE cvs for our prescriptions and they have no reason to call. Plus, a LEGITIMATE business does not block its caller ID.

This is a scam. received the call today from 423-822-2465. Caller ID displayed "Chattanooga TN". Caller left a message identify them as CVS Caremark with my name saying they have important information and to call a toll free number 877-766-9481 and select seven digit extension 1880142. This call seemed suspicious because if the call was from CVS Caremark the caller ID would have displayed it. So, I called CVS and they checked my file and said there would be absolutely no reason for me to get a call.

Out of Area phone call.   Definitely not a CVS, standard number.   More Low-life trying to steal information.

Received call from 423-822-2465 - no called ID shown.  I answered to an automated system stating they were Aetna Ins.  Identified me by name and for verification asked my birth date.  Gave it to them.  They said that was incorrect.  I hung up.  Contacted my pharmacy.  I have no prescriptions for insurance authorizations.  Scary!!!

This IS CVS. Sometimes you'll get a call even though you don't have an order pending. That's usually because a phone number has been entered into the system incorrectly - because nobody is perfect.  They call to let you know your Rx is ready. That's all. They don't try to weasel personal info or $$ from you. Seriously, for all the paranoids further down, if they were trying to scam you, they'd ASK for something like personal info or money. But they don't.  Just what sort of scam do you really think is being run here? What could a con artist possibly gain by telling you your scrip is ready if it really isn't?  Being alert to scammers is a good thing. Paranoia is bad for your health. Trolls - I see you down there - are juvenile.

This number has been flagged as spam/fraud by Whitepages.  CVS Caremark says this is Not a number they would call from concerning any Rx.

If this was CVS why call me i do not deal with them.
