- MKD| 1 replyHELLO EVERYONE! OK I DID IN FACT JUST GET OFF THE PHONE WITH A REPRESENTATIVE AT CVS CAREMARK AND I GAVE HER THE NUMBER AND IT IS INDEED CAREMARK. I ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS A SCAM AT FIRST BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE!
FOR THOSE WHO ARE UBER PARANOID(AND THATS OK) YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY OR FRET. IF YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THEN SERIOUSLY JUST GOOGLE CVS AND CALL THEIR NUMBER. PLEASE DONT WRITE B.S. THAT ITS A DEBT COLLECTOR AND SCARE OTHERS THAT IS NOT COOL AT ALL!
I'M RELIEVED NOW! :) - MKD replies to Ruthie| 3 repliesHI
YES IT IS INDEED CVS CAREMARK. I LEFT A DETAILED NOTE ON THIS ON PAGE 2 FOR THOSE WHO ARE UBER PARANOID AND MAKING UP B.S. STORIES.
I SPOKE WITH CVS AND CVS CAREMARK AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT THIS NUMBER WHO CALLS US IS INDEED CVS CAREMARK. - MKD replies to scam spotter| 8 repliesYou are a liar, we just got off the phone with CVS for god sake and the number IS LEGIT!
Why on earth are you making so crazy ridiculous made up story? Please get help, that is so sad. :(
When you call this number it asks you for your acct #. If you dont have the right acct # it just repeats the prompt. If you are unstable mentally you should probably go see a Dr.
Im not being mean Im speaking the truth. I called CVS caremark AND CVS and they CAN and DID VERIFY it IS a LEGIT CVS number. You are lame! I HATE LIARS! - Obo replies to scam spotterThis number is legit (CVS).
- donnydu| 3 repliesIt may be a legit number for CVS but I don't have an account with CVS, never have used that pharmacy for anything and yet they call me to tell me I have a prescription to be picked up. I can see why several of the people writing to this site would question the validity of a number that has no reason to call you. This site is so helpful to flag these numbers and I'm thankful to all that write in. I don't answer these numbers but glad some of you do and tell me who they are.

- NickI have received 2 calls from this number today...I tried calling them back and it is busy. All it shows on my caller ID is Chattnooga TN. Altho I deal with a CVS Caremark Speciality Pharmacy and do mail order some of our prescriptions this is not a number I have to reach them.
- Caller: Chattnooga TN
- David| 2 repliesThis is LEGITIMATE.
I emailed and received this response from CVS Caremark:
Please accept our apology for any inconvenience. The call that was placed to you was from CVS Caremark.- Caller: CVS Caremark
- Call type: Event reminder
- DeeI got a phone call this morning from this number claiming they were CVS & saying our prescription is ready. We have never used CVS pharmacy for prescriptions. I don' t think it is a bill collector as we don't owe anyone. They use an automated system & are trying to get us to say yes. They ask several times for the same person in attempt to record you saying "yes". If you say "no" they redirect the question saying are you sure you aren't "insert person's name here?" If I were CVS I would be concerned!
- Trebuchet| 4 repliesThis is indeed Caremark/CVS. It is the telephonic reorder number for mail order prescriptions and has been for several years. I use it for my scripts as well as for my patients' refills (I am a nurse case manager). It is NOT a collection agency. They call you to remind you that it is time to reorder your scheduled meds like blood pressure medications, arthritis meds, etc.

- Barry replies to Ruthie| 4 repliesDon't be foolish. No one should request your personal information over the phone. You never know who you are talking to when they initiate the call.
- trippleDIt is CVS Caremark. I have told them repeatedly that I am not interested in using CVS at all! They bought out ou local pharmacy only to shut it down, Romney style! I will take my 47% business to a more decent pharmacy.
- Caller: CVS Caremark
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Den Man replies to Ruthie| 6 repliesThis clearly is a CVS Pharmacy phone number following up on my presciption delivery. Totally Legitimate. Just call CVS Pharmacy corporate if you don't believe at 1-800-563-2579.
Some individuals posting here are the illegimate ones. - CraigI got the first call from this number 4 days ago. They ask for birthdate and zip code, and then just say 'you should revnew your prescription, press 1 to hear this again', and then 'bye' and hand up the call.
I called CVS, and they promised to remove my two numbers form their automated system.
I got the same call again today, and called them back. They have no record of my previous call, but a person I talked to later said they had problems logging calls earlier.
They transferred me to a 'privacy' department that can check on when you visited; they have no record of any pharmacy visit, but did see my two numbers in the system with no information as 'deactivated'.
That implies that I should not have got the call today, and the person 4 days ago did put them in as they said. Because I shouldn't have got the call, they transferred me to a third customer service person.
The third person said that there are two other call systems the others may not have thought up, photo and 'Caremark'. She said my numbers were in the photo system and she'd remove them, but that system should not make pharmacy calls. She did not have access to the Caremark system to get any information, but said she would make the request to have it checked and remove them.
We discussed the possibility of a phishing scam - scammers could spoof the CVS phone number making it look like it's calling you on caller id - but she cofirmed the content of the call is a legitimate Caremark call.- Caller: CVS/Caremark
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jack Sofolot replies to RickGYeah, like that works.....
- Big Al replies to QI just received a call from that number. The automated caller did have my name and asked for my date of birth which I gave. Next it asked for my zip code so I hung up, was getting suspicious. I called the CVS/Caremark phone number on my insurance card and the gentleman I talked to said yes, it was a legitimate call. I don't use CVS but it is the company I can mail order prescriptions from if I choose because they are our insurance company's prescription provider. Our statements come from them. Best to be cautious in today's world of identity theft. Glad I called the company to verify.
- vI received a call from this number saying that they were Caremark. calling about a prescription. I just called Caremark. They said that they had no record of a call being placed to me.
- tootCVS calls about my over due prescription, when they do it usually is a different person, man or woman, I have explained the reason I have not filled is the Dr now decided I only need half the medication, and refuses to order a different amount in case I would need it the future. They don't want to hear it so now I drop the hook, because they want to verifiy me I need to give them my birthdate, sorry if you did not understand me the first time I am not giving my personal info to strangers.
