It showed up as "Private Caller" on my caller id. I didn't answer.

Calls constantly several hours apart until I finally picked it up to see who it was.  It was a machine responding with Press 1 if you are XXXXXX, press 2 if you need to wait to get that person, etcetera.   It had a message about a business matter (no other info, very vague).  I pressed 1 so that I could give them a piece of my mind about illegal calls made and answered by machines (my state doesn't allow that).  It then responded with all representatives are busy and to call this number 425-643-2613.   I hope that pressing "1" was not some scam and they use that to put some sort of charge on my phone bill.  In retrospect, it might have been better not to press any number at all in case they use that as an excuse to scam some charge onto my phone bill.

They call my Cell phone all ours of the day and night and want me to press one to get to take to some one.

They called me today. It's a collection agency as "goat" said above. It was just a vague recording from Redmond, WA claiming they wanted to speak with me. I hung up. I already know I owe money to collection agencies. I don't need them to harass me...

Called me and I could tell that there was a person on the other end listening but not responding - I called the number back and it rang several times but never answered.

If I were a business and they were working for me I would fire them - Atleast when collections are done by people you can get a little compassion but from a machine - I will never pay whomever the represent - to be honest I know I owe no one so it has to be a scam in my case

They keep calling our cell phone and leaving "urgent business matter" messages for an "Elizabeth Radcliff" There are no Elizabeths or anyone with the last name Radcliff at our number. Next time they call I am answering and making them take our number off their records.

I got a weird call from them back around September 11, of 2006...nobody there just a machine??? WTFO? I didn't press any numbers to respond.

Several automated calls saying "this is not a solicitation" or "this call is due to an important business matter". And now they left a message from a REAL person, trying to sound like they are from a hospital ER, saying that I need to call back about an important matter with my father. And to ask for Mr. Olsen at extension 123. F U Mr. Olsen, my Dad died a long time ago. I'm really upset at these minimum wage collectors, who apparently couldn't get a job at Microsoft down the street from them.
Someone needs to find this place in Redmond, and burn it to the ground!

Received calls from them repeatedly in a two hour period. Even When I did answer there was a message to "wait for next representative". I do not care who they are I simply think its in poor taste to call 13 times in a two hour period. And then to also call at all hours of the day and well into the evening.  When I called the number I listened to an extensive message forwarding me to a series of "press 1, 2 etc" (of course, I had no idea why they called me so I pressed 0). Turns out the receptionist is very sweet but the individual representatives are less than pleasant. In fact, they have mastered the art of rude and condescending with a smile!

If you receive a call from anyone soliciting or a collections agency, you are within your rights to ask them to stop calling and that you would rather contact them in the future. Unfortunately, this agency appears rather aggressive and I found difficult to deal with their representatives.

I know I owe money for a hospital bill from 3 years ago. I looked at my credit report sometime ago to get an idea of all the agencies I owed money to. I called merchants credit to find out the amount I owed them. They started drilling me about I need to pay this now or I will be sued. And can they have my phone number, and address and what's a good time to reach me at home. I am not a stupid person. I knew right away that they were trying to collect. I want to pay my bill off but they make it to wear I don't even want to contact them because they are so aggressive. They don't do payment plans. They want xxx amount of dollars every 3 days Sorry its not happening.

MY PHONE JUST RANG...I DIDN'T ANSWER BECAUSE IT IS ALWAYS YVETTE.  THEY NEED TO GET SOMEONE WITH A NORMAL AMERICAN ACCENT.  THEY NEVER WORK WITH PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS.  THEY ARE A NUISANCE.  GO AWAY DIRECT MERCHANTS!  I WILL SEND YOU WHAT I CAN AFFORD.  YOU CANNOT REFUSE MONEY.

just received TWO calls from them not even 5 mins from each other. they never leave a msg and when they do, they ask you to call their number and thats it. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

This number called me to collect on a bill from a hospital that I never knew existed. When they confirmed my mailing address, they had one over 3 years old where the hospital, and this agency, were both sending notices. Since they took the time to mark up my credit, they could have at least gotten my new address at the same time. I ended up settling for a few dollars over the original amount I owed the hospital, which aparently charged $75 for a missed appointment. What a joke.

Got a call from these folks looking to collect on someone other than me. I indicated that the person was not at this number, and the operator began peppering me with questions in an increasingly rude and pointed tone. Instead of answering, I asked for his name and company name, and all he would tell me was "Mr. Smith."

He became increasingly agitated, telling me that if I was hiding anything from him I was violating federal law. I continued to ask for information on his company, and in climactic, booming tone, he told me I had five seconds to answer him, counted down, waited a moment, then hung up.

A short while later, after letting my nerves settle from this rather distressing phone call, I looked the company up, found them registered at the Washington Secretary of State's web site. The business is Merchants Credit Corporation, doing business as Merchants Credit Association, UBI number 578072282:

I called the company back and spoke with an operator. I told her that I had received a call for someone who is not at this number, and that the caller was very rude and mean, and that I would like to be added to their do not call list. The woman said no problem, asked for my number, then for my name. I told her that I would not provide a name, and she said that she could not remove my number without a name.

I asked her again to stop calling my number, that I consider any more phone calls of that nature from their company to be harassment. The woman told me to hold for a supervisor and quickly placed me on hold. A supervisor came on, and I repeated my story. She asked for my number, and said she had removed me from their list.

All in all, very poor customer service, even from a collections agency. Yikes.

It's fake, they just say "Mr. Olsen is busy at the moment, but I cam help you. Whats your name?"
Then they screw you.
