Recent Liver Transplant patient.  The Medical facility has a 15-day payment period in which to pay their statement.  If not paid in 15-days, they send the bill to Merchants Credit Association.  Have received several calls from MCA at my employers office.  Have advised that they are not authorized to contact me at work, have also stated until I receive ITEMIZED statements from my medical facility, nothing will be paid.  And according to our state laws, I do not have to pay the collection agency, my debt is with the Medical Facility.

I have received numerous calls from these people.  They always ask for me, but seem to have my maiden name from 5 + years ago.  I always tell them that the person they are calling for is not available.  I do not conduct business is my maiden name anymore and how they have that is weird.  The most recent call was about 15 minutes ago and it was from a "Mrs. Brown" at extention 123.  I told her I was the "babysitter" and she said "no your not!!  I called the cell phone!!"  Get a life people... find a hobby... get a real job.... jump off a bridge... I don't care but just leave me the he** alone! Jeeze!!

You can call reject this number 425-643-2613 but it will cost $4.00 a month for the service through your local phone company. It will not let you call reject any toll free numbers. Work's great.

Got the call on my cellphone, and saw that is was a local call but "no name" on my caller id.  When I answered, an automated greeting said to hold on for an important phone call.  I became suspicious and hung up.  Why do they call cellphone numbers now? Is that allowed?

I owe back bills as well, and yes they legally have to accept any form of payment. if they reject your payment, you can take them to court and have the whole bill dropped. or like me....wait 7 yrs and then the statue of limitations runs out on them to collect any money and then it is dropped off your credit. I only have one more year to go!

I'm really upset at these minimum wage collectors, who apparently couldn't get a job at Microsoft down the street from them.
Someone needs to find this place in Redmond, and burn it to the ground!

Just an FYI to all you "victims" out there.
If you owe a bill, you have rights but you have responsibilities.
It is (within each state's different guidlines)LEGAL for a collection company who has been hired by a creditor or the original creditor themself to contact you until
    A) it's paid
    B) you're sued by the original creditor
    C) you advise them politely which # you demand to never be called at again
    D) it's proven by you within the federal government's laws and heavy restrictions against harassment's timeline. 30 days

It's not legally harassment. And FYI again:
Most collection agents not only make a decent salary or hourly wage but any respectable collector who builds a repoire and works with a debtor probably makes more than most Microsoft employees :) Now where do you work? Because obviously someone didn't pay their bill. I suggest telling them your father has passed - you ASSUMED it was from a hospital but Im sure they just said the word urgent - and once you tell them he has passed and not to ever call your # again then the power is within your hands. But petty insults are not a good way to handle these "parasites".

    BAM
They've called  my  cell phone numerous  times .And  they  don't  even  ask  for me.it's  for  someone  else ..
I'm  sort  of  leery  of telling them  that person isn't  someone  I know , because  I've  heard  of  company's continuing to call and  argue that  you know  the  person or  ARE  them.. Which  is  neither in my case ..
So  after  reading up on this  number , I don't  want  to  talk to  them .. I  know  who  I owe  and  it's  not  them ..

They just called on my work phone.
This 425-643-2613 number is the oldest on my list of numbers to not answer that I keep handy, so it has been awhile since they last used this one. I'm sure the other numbers on my list are related to each other.

These people call and call. Insurance took forever to pay, so my bill went to collections. After insurance paid the hospital, I paid remaining balance to the hospital AND Merchant still calls. They will not give any info on why they keep calling. My debt has been paid in full and my credit report is clear with no blemishes.

Why can't you just admit that you are you????....oh wait....that's right.....you can't pay your bills, steal services, give attitude from people who ask you to be RESPONSIBLE AND PAY YOUR SHARE....go complain to someone who doesn't mind being stolen from...

...oh wait....another problem that would be NO ONE.  When you don't pay your bills in your ignorance you cost everyone else money.  Quit being a waste of space and pay up!
