As of Sept 21, 2010 Logan @ HHT and Bart @ HHT are employeed there. They are not returning any phone calls or e-mails to Stett Transportation and now we are being hung up on.

I will not give out any company information due to the fact that HHT will take that information and continually harrass your company. We have turned an account over to HHT so if you want contact information look up our account.

    James,
Once again - Stett Transportation hired HHT to collect money on their behalf and I am the one writing complaints. My company doesn't owe ANY money. We are owed the money.

So no - the people making complaints are not those that owe money and need to just pay their bills. This company (HHT) is harrassing people by constantly calling and asking for their business. Once someone says "no I'm not interested in your services and remove me from your calling list" - HHT should remove them from the call list and no longer contact that person or business. However, HHT is continuing to call and harrass and ask for business.

But like I stated above - I work for Stett Transportation and I'm writing complaints about HHT because we hired HHT to collect on our behalf. In May 2010 we turned over a customer to HHT - It is now Sept 2010 and we haven't received a dime. We have confirmed that our customer has paid HHT. Our CEO @ Stett called today (9/21/10) to ask when the money would be paid to Stett - she was hung up on by Logan (VP of sales) @ HHT.

So there are people on both sides of the equation filing complaints about this company and my question is when is this going to be addressed?? I'm posting because I'm hoping to ruffle some feathers and atleast get a phone call back from HHT - this problem needs to be fixed!

I find it ironic that you are saying people are posting without identifying themselves, yet you are not identifying yourself. You just provide a phone # to call about complaints. Yet there is no name or position given.

I'm assuming you work for HHT - so why isn't there a professional signature at the end of your post stating all your contact information?

Re. "they are not a sales company," cc did not say they are a sales company, cc said "This guy is just a high pressure saleman assh*le!" which means something different altogether.

Re. "FDCPA ONLY APPLIES TO CONSUMERS NOT BUSINESS ACCOUNTS," Jen is not complaining about unfair debt collection from consumers, she's reporting her personal experience with HH&T's unprofessional phone manners which has absolutely nothing to do with debt collection from consumers.

"the company ... changed the name of their company, and they still collected the money in 2 days," doesn't sound right. A company is responsible for its own debts but not for other companies' and can legally refuse to pay other companies' debts. The only way to get a company to pay other companies' debts is to get a civil court order or to report it to the authorities for criminal prosecution. Either way, impossible to collect in 2 days.

As I read it, complainants on this thread are *not* debtors who owe money but are creditors who allege they have been harassed by, haven't heard from, can't contact, or are owed money from, the 3rd-party debt collector HH&T that they *hired* to collect owed debt on their behalf. Your comment makes no sense.

May be true but as several HH&T posts have pointed out, your post lacks specifics and hence unverifiable.

"the Commercial Law League of America, they govern and regulate all commercial collection agencies" is totally incorrect. www.clla.org/clla_about/default.cfm says "CLLA Core Purpose: To be the leader in providing legal, educational and professional services to the business and credit communities." CLLA sounds like an industry org for attorneys and not a regulating agency and industry orgs typically loathe and lack the legal power to rein in maverick members. Complaining about HH&T to CLLA is useless.

Re. "Posting on here does not resolve your issue," posters allege direct complaints to HH&T got them nowhere (no collection money, rudeness, hangups, no answers, etc.) and are posting here to warn others of HH&T's behavior. Mind you, the complaints here aren't from debtors, they're from *creditors* who contracted with HH&T to collect debt on their behalf and have gotten no satisfaction from HH&T. "posts have been made without contacting us" and "please contact us directly" come across like whitewash as people report they've tried and failed because of HH&T's evasion. Your posting here isn't helping HH&T's case.

There are 2 kinds of complaints against HT&T -- creditors and debtors. Creditor businesses are angry at HH&T for hostile soliciting calls, rudeness, failure to turn over collected debt, hangups, failure to answer emails, etc. Debtor consumers are angry with HH&T's debt collection methods as would debtors anywhere. I suggest HH&T address the much more serious creditor complaints instead of addressing generic debtor complaints which, in light of HH&T's evasive tactics claimed by creditors, is just another tactic to divert attention from the more serious allegation of not turning collected funds to creditors. Instead of telling consumers to pay their debts, why doesn't HH&T address why they have or have not passed collected debt onto creditors?

Well, *you* don't say who you are either. Who or what is "Mgr?" What is your full name, company name, title, and direct phone number? And do you answer calls civilly or do you not pick up or hang up (as several posters have alleged when they called HH&T)?

Attacking Mr. A's grammar is childish. The lack of polished grammar hurts Mr. A's interaction with the world but that's his problem and not yours. Why don't you address the *content* of Mr. A's allegation that HH&T claimed 5-day collection but hasn't turned allegedly-known-to-be-collected funds to the creditor for 3 months? "MAYBE NOT ON THE TIME FRAME YOU WANT, BUT THEY DO GET PAID" simply won't do. Why is HH&T holding creditor funds hostage? Is HH&T using creditor funds surreptitiously? I could pick on your use of all-capital letters because it's like screaming and so rude(!) but I'll stay my fingers.

    Truth Will Come Out
Bottom line.  HHT was hired to collect for a lot of companies on a contingency basis.  Problem is they collected the money and did not even remit a dime back.  They have kept 100%.  How long have you heard the check is cut it is going out, etc...  Get an attorney and see if you can pursue legal or criminal charges.

If you've been scammed by these crooks like many other business owners have, I recommend calling Robert Casey with the Dallas FBI White Collar Crimes Division (972) 559-5000. It seems as if Haller Harlan & Taylor is already under investigation and the more business owners that file a complaint, the more evidence they have against hht. It sounds like they will be shut down any day.

We may have from time to time customers or debtors that maybe upset about something.  We want to resolve any issues you may have.

We are not out to get anyone, we don't determine who gets placed for collections, we just do the job our client hires us to do.

In doing that, if you have any issues or concerns, we want to know, we want to look into them and resolve it the correct way.

Posting issues out here without contacting us to resolve the issue, almost ensures that we can't make you happy.

We can do business the right way with you.

    Mgr,

You just said to identify who we are when posting here, but you're too much of a coward to tell us who you are... talk about legit! Should we ask for Michael Haller, aka Brian Johnson to get our resolution..?

Hey.! Original creditors are submitting customers to HH&T to collect. Once they collect they are NOT paying the original creditors their portion of the collection.

    They are ripping off companies!
