We were contacted by Jim Thompson who claimed to be an Attorney.  The debt he is trying to collect is not legitimate and we will not talk with HHT because we do not recognize them as a business entity that we have or are currently conducting business with.  All of these posts by HHT denying that these claims are true is so obviously damage control, but denying it over and over again does not offset the balance of positive over negative.  Contact Jeff Buno over and over again does not actually help matters if nothing is done to resolve the issues.

Quit suggestion that people use their real identities and trying to deligitimize them when they dont.  Of course people dont use their real identities when they are dealing with a company like yours.  Anyone who reveals their company name or any facts relating to their situation on a public forum is a fool and from what I am reading, these people are fools; they are just angry and rightfully so.

My suggestion is stop trying to damage control and deny and fix your obvious errors in your business practices.  We as a company never have to defend ourselves and do not have a single negative complaint floating on the web that needs defending because we do not conduct business this way.

The fix is easy - become the reputable firm you claim you are.  From a PR perspective, stay out of these forums and let people vent.  By responding here you are only making yourself come across as defensive and there is no way you will win this.  There are just too many similar complaints.

This is a public forum and people can say whatever they want.  There is no court in the world that would release the IP addresses of posters to a public forum unless there are national security issues involved.  Quit being so definesive and accept the fact that you s*ck and people arent happy about it.

Besides, what are you going to do with IP addresses?  With NAT and shared public facing IP addresses the best you might get to is the ISP or company level.  Quit playing hardball and trying to scare people away from posting their concerns.  They have a right to speak and be heard.

Just stay out of this forum because you can not win this.  With as many complaints that are out here, you have lost the war and starting up new battles just continues to bring more attention to your poor business practices.  Don't be defensive; fix your internal issues.

Thanks for all the information. I was contacted by someone last week and as soon i said i was interested, I was passed onto to 'Tony Sollars', boilerroom style. At first I was like "Why not" but i had some problems with their contract so I asked for the changes to be sent to me and I would sign. But they didn't and are pushing me to sign saying they already contact the customer, which is not true.
So thanks for the comments and I won't be using them for my $200k in A/R overdue.

They call and claim they are a group of private investigators and attorneys, but they actually only have one attorney working for them.  The guy's name is Jason Van Dyke and, if you do any web research on the guy, you will find out why.  Van Dyke is more of a hired thug than he is an attorney.  Former employees tell me that he verbally berates the sales staff there and acts even more outrageously towards the people they hire him to go after.  One former salesperson who now works at another agency told me that the only reason he still has a job is because the company CEO, Michael Haller, is scared to death of him

This company is a scam, they buy or get a list of companies and begin to cold call these companies. After they make contact they use collection tactics to ware you down or piss you off enough to give them anything they want just to shut them up....1st mistake.
Advice: Just hang up on them and block further calls from them. After a while they will just slip back to the gutters from where they came.

First, I am confident that much of what is posted here is inaccurate or exaggerated, and acknowledge that most everyone thinks collection agencies are scum.  With that said, there are some good agencies out there, and they do try to collect what is submitted to them by the creditors.  My business thought Haller Harlan & Taylor was one of the good agencies. Unfortunately we found out otherwise.
My business has submitted many accounts to Haller, Harlan & Taylor.  While they have collected some and paid us for some, there are numerous debtors which have made payment to Haller Harlan & Taylor, for which Haller Harlan & Taylor has not remitted to my business!  Some of the debtors paid Haller Harland & Taylor 4-6+ months ago too.  We are talking tens of thousands of dollars (that is not an exaggeration either).  Many of you would be interested to know several unfortunate things about Haller Harlan & Taylor.  All you need to is pull a business credit report on Haller, Harlan & Taylor you'll find several lawsuits against them by their own customers (not just debtors!), plus they have multiple Federal Tax Liens against them for OVER $1,000,000 total and also State Tax Liens (Texas).  I post that just so you can be aware of these troublesome facts.  All of that information is public record too.  If you do not believe what I am stating is the case, just goto the Collin County Clerk's web site (Texas) and search the public records.  Here is the link:
http://apps.collincountytx.gov/cccasesearch/Search.aspx  - search 'HHT Limited' or 'Michael Haller'
    http://countyclerkrecords.co.collin.tx.us/webinquiry/ - search 'HHT'

HHT is very well aware of who I am. These other postings are legit and we are suing these crooks for money, that we have proof the collected, and they will see their day in court!
