- ...and I'm calling from Bernett Research replies to ANGRY IN ATLANTA| 3 repliesDo your research. As I've stated before, the headquarters is in Boston. The call centers are in Rexburg, ID, Pocatello, ID, and Albany, OR. And again, they aren't doing anything illegal, so calling the police could get you in trouble.
- ...and I'm calling from Bernett Research replies to whistle while u workJust for the record, doing any of that is just going to make us call more frequently. The interviewer will most likely disconnect the call, and set a callback for 90 minutes as they are instructed to do with your type.
Oh, and you tell us our work is evil and doesn't have a point? Skim over the first post I made and your misconception will be all cleared up. - and you're HARASSING from Bennet Researc replies to ...and I'm calling from Bernett Research| 2 repliesIt's called HARASSMENT and it IS ILLEGAL. Your victims ask you to stop calling and you don't. That makes you and your company greedy scamming pigs who are BREAKING THE LAW. No wonder you don't want your victims to call the police -- THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY NEED TO DO.
They can also file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and their state's Attorney General office.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO SHUT YOU CROOKS DOWN????? - Ralph replies to and you're HARASSING from Bennet ResearcHahaha. You are so frigging dumb. Yeah, sure, we don't want you to call the police. Go ahead and call the police you idiot. They will tell you that you are a moron too. Maybe then you will figure it out, but I doubt it. So, knock yourself out, waste your time, call the police, have them tell you what we already told you, and feel like the idiot that you truly are. I LOVE setting call backs for [***] that are rude and obnoxious. If someone is nice and polite I will respond in kind. You have to realize we have rules on how and when to set call backs, if you just shout obscenities and hang up, I guarantee you will be called back, with relish. It is very difficult to go to work some days because you know you are going to have to deal with ignorant uninformed people who THINK they know what the law is but really have no clue because they have never actually gone to the trouble of looking up what the Do Not Call list applies to. Consider this, you may think any given survey is stupid, we would probably agree, but at least after you are done with it, you're done, we have to try and do another one over and over again. Not very fun sometimes.
- Ralph replies to and you're HARASSING from Bennet ResearcBlack Friday is coming up, you should try and see if anyone is having a good sale on brains. Yours is broken.
- notinterestedIf you call the # back, you get a recorded message. They give you the option to leave a message to them telling them that you want them to TAKE YOU OFF the list. Pretty simple. Hope it works

- dave| 2 repliesif you have caller i.d. and you see bernett research on it, all you have to do is pick up and hang up right away. they called me 4 days in a row and they finally got the hint to stop calling me. I also pick up and hang up if caller i.d. shows private or unknown name/number.
- Call type: Survey
- Ralph replies to daveI hate to bust your bubble, but they probably stopped calling because that particular job was over. Some jobs last a long time, some a week some only one day. It all depends on what the client wants for it's particular survey. If it was one of our on going surveys, your response would only have us call and call again.
Have you even read any of these posts? It spells out quite plainly how this works. You could make yours as well as the person on the other ends life so much easier by just following the advice given. If you just hang up without saying anything, I guarantee you will be called back, unless of course the job is wrapped.
I understand that many people don't want to do surveys, but if you act like a jerk and are rude and obnoxious, my sympathy goes right out the window, and I have NO problem setting a call back. I am sick and tired of idiots that answer the phone thinking they already know what is going on and have absolutely no clue. Why don't you AT LEAST listen for a few seconds to find out what is going on BEFORE you make a decision. Some surveys are kind of interesting.
When I hear all the, "I'm not interested", or "I don't want to get involved" answers, it just shows me why our country is failing. The people of our great nation "don't want to get involved" in ANYTHING. So, go ahead and keep your opinions to yourself, and be a good little sheeple. - Another Employee replies to JasonIf you knew the actual laws concerning the DNC list, you would realize that the only firms that apply to that, are those who are actually selling something. Since research firms don't sell anything to the people they call, they are exempt.
- Another Employee replies to UNsatisfied and AnnoyedIt may be accurate, but it's not effective
- Another Employee replies to JX1The questions that are asked about the financial information are only asked in ranges. No specifics are asked. If the research firms sold that info to anyone, they would be shut down and the persons responsible would be imprisoned. All they're asking for is your opinion. That's it! The questions that are included toward the beginning/end of the survey are only there for statistics. There are no names tied to them. Period
- Another Employee replies to pissed off Bob| 1 replyCare to be sued by a multi-million dollar corporation for property damage?
- Another Employee replies to JWhitSTLIf you pay close attention to the DNC list law, it only applies to telemarketing. Research calls are exempt so there's nothing the FCC can do. The next time that happens, calmly and politely, ask to be put on their specific DNC list. They'll oblige, no questions asked.
- Another Employee replies to IrritatedThat's because it's a nationwide company. It doesn't matter
- silvonecall from 503-575-7964 won't stop calling me. She is harrasing me . I want to know how to stop these calls.
- Caller: bernett research
- Call type: Survey
- Another Employee replies to BillThat's because the law doesn't restrict Market Research. I kind of find it hilarious that people really do not know the laws in their own country.
- RalphDo any of you people complaining, even read the previous posts before making your own post???? I mean really, I've seen smarter rocks. You are ignorant on the phones and your ignorance shows up here as well. Stop being lazy and do a little research of your own and LEARN something. Sheesh.
- ...and I'm calling from Bernett Research replies to daveAs Ralph stated, the survey could have been finished with, OR, we hit our max attempts on the number. We only call a certain number of times until we give up. This number is usually 6, 7, or 8. So, you could be a genius like this one here and pick up and hang up until we have hit our max attempts on your number, OR, you could pick up, listen to the interviewer, and politely request to be taken off the list and it will happen. Or we could call you until we don't want to call you anymore. Take your pick.
- jfelton replies to FedupA definition of a real job would be one which a person works an amount of hours, receives pay, pays taxes and therefore does not need govt assistance, I guess you are one of the priviledged that does not know that the economy sucks. If you get a call from an area code you do not know,do what i do and DON'T ANSWER IT! If you want off the calling list you must allow the person to tell you what the survey is about and THEN ask to be taken off the Bernett calling list.Remember, the if you don't want to be called the interviewer probably would rather not deal with you. He or she is only trying to get by.Ironically the people who do best at this job are people like fedup who are naturally rude.
- jfelton replies to whistle while u work| 5 repliesI bet you whistle while you work. Get a real job!
