- DragoGot a call from this number about 5 minutes ago and of course left no message. These people also have used numbers of 971-217-9538 and 971-220-1118. If they ever check records of potential clients they would know I don't need need lower mortage rates.

- DMills replies to Amy| 2 repliesI also did the same but I still receive calls. They have not removed my name from the list. I don't know what else to do I just pick up the receiver and put it back down.
- DMills replies to Dewayne| 1 replyI am going to try doing what Dewayne has suggested and see if that works. I didn't know I could do that. Thank you for the information.
- IrritatedCall came today on my land-line from this number identified on caller ID as PacificTel. The robo-caller indicated that I could have my credit card interest rate reduced, blah, blah, blah...that's when I hung up. I returned the call on my blocked cell phone and gave them the land-line number when prompted to have my number removed. I've never done this before, but I've keyed in the PacificTel numbers on DoNotCall.gov complaint site several times, and the calls keep coming. PacificTel is the telephone company providing service to "Credit Card Services." Some service.

- St. Pete BillRecorded message: "Time is is running out to reduce the interest rate on your credit card to 6.49%, press one to speak with a representative." I pressed one. A man came online and I asked what company I was speaking with. His response was "Didn't you listen to the message?" I said "yes, now tell me who I am speaking with." He hung up.

- St. Pete Bill replies to DewayneGood advice. I have a couple things to add.
Make sure you are on the FTC Do Not Call List (it is free).
When you get one of these calls go to their web site and file a complaint.
It won't stop the calls to you (or immediately) but the volume of complaints filed with the FTC will spur them to open an inquiry is they get enough complaints. So every complaint to the FTC is important. The more complaints it gets also helps them push Congress to do something (I know a near impossible task when it comes to getting them to do something useful, but all you can do is try). - MaryI called to remove myself from their calling list, but they continue to call every day.

- rabbiThey have not called in months and started again today. I simply put the phone aside and let the computer speak with no one answering. After a few minutes I go back to the phone and hang up. They hung up several minutes ago. At least this keeps the computer tied up and it makes fewer calls per hour so somewhere down the line someone may not be called. I've been told it hurts them more than it does me as no one here hears the call. After a few times I don't hear from them for months!

- Same hereI just got a call saying they have a letter about a pending legal action involving me and if I'd like to settle it out of court before it's filed with the county I should call their litigation department and mention the case number they gave me. I smelled a rat!!
Do not call or you are simple giving them info about you for them to do something underhanded with it. I am on the no call list and generally do not get nonsense phone calls, so they're already breaking some law.- Caller: 503-902-8479
- sickofthesecalls replies to Dennis| 6 repliesI could tell by the called id that it was one of these lower your credit card creeps. I picked up the hook about an inch and then let it back down. I then put that number on my block caller list. At least they won't try to bug me with THAT number anymore
- BethIt was the usual pre-recorded "we can reduce your rates" call. This is a scam. I just hung up immediately, then went online to donotcall.gov to file a complaint, then came on here to report it also. Like someone else said--if they don't honor the official Do Not Call list, then why would they bother honoring their own, especially when they're just a bunch of scammers anyway.
