Called me on a Saturday morning.  I live in Southern Ohio.  Get your crap together New Mexico and arrest these cheesedicks.
I can also tell you that this is not random calling.  My wife and I got calls 2 minutes apart.

count me in as another from 740 Ohio (Southeast) It just happened at 8:30am this morning so I decided to check it out. It happened on my cell phone.

Call from Jessie from Kids First www.kidsfirst.org would not answer questions and is a SCAM!!!!!!!! If you call number back it is a busy signal. VERY RUDE CALLERS.

I was asleep and my cell started vibrating hardcore. Thought it was my alarm, but it was this prig. "Hi, I'm Jesse from Kid's First, how are you doing today?"

My Gran called him back lmao and started bitching at him. He actually answered.

I just got this call at 12:43, from Jesse, @ Kids First.  When he asked how I am doing today, I told him that I was sure I didn't want to talk to him, hung up, and Googled the number.  I, too would like to know what the scam actually is.  Is it just trying to sell more stupid DVD's???  I have ATT and wonder, also, how they got my number.

I didnt recognize this number and let it ring, they didnt leave a message but I dont want them calling my phone.  I googled it and there are plenty of people that say it is a scam...

Jesse from Kids First just called and said they were trying to design a better system for rating DVD's and wants to send me two free DVD's. He was very nice and said the only catch was that they wanted to call me back in two weeks after I get the movies for my grandkids to get some feed back. We'll see what happens, he didn't really ask for any other personal information other that my address and they could get that from the phonebook and what age range I would like the movies for.

I see that there were a few listings that said they had alltel as their carrier, This is the 3rd missed call I have had from the 505-247-1942 number, and my service is alltel as well. just sum fyi.

Missed the call- punched redial because I thought it might be a business associate. Got a busy signal. I stopped answering the home phone because of unsolicited calls. Very angry that I'm starting to get them on my cell.

Got a Missed call message from this number on July 30th 2008 at 9:32 am.  I called back and got a busy signal.

At 8:01 PM I received a call from 505-247-1942 - did not answer. And like so many others, I googled the number.  How do we stop this?  What/where/who is the proper authority to report these calls?  My provider is AT & T/Cingular.

I got a call from this number today, I was in class, so I didn't answer. I'm shocked to see here that it is a soliciting type call.  I'm in Ohio & on a no call list.  Will the insanity ever end?

Male caller was abusive and very vague on what he wanted. When we asked
how he obtained our cell number, he immediately disconnected. This is
second occurence of this unwanted number contacting us.

person id'd himself as "jessie from kids first," then i lost the signal..  was suspicious since 505 area code is not local for me in OH.
