Well, I have my home number and my cell number on the "Do Not Call List". I should not be getting these calls and I will report them.

I rec'd a call today on my Alltel cell phone from this number in Michigan--didn't recognize it, googled it and found it is Kids First in NM--I have my phone registered on the Do Not Call list and have never given ANY companies permission to call this line.  They did not leave a message or anything that identified who they were I just had a missed call.

I'm from Michigan and I got this call at 9am this morning.

i got a call from this number sying they are with us national bank and that my creditor who i have never heard of b4 is ready to charge me with crimes. i see maybe 1 other person has gone thru this. is this for real? i now think that is a scam. pls advise

I got the same call today around 9:30AM on my cell phone while I was at work.  I had the phone turned off, but it showed up as a missed call.  No message left.  Didn't try to call back.

I had the same thing. The call was from Kids First. At first I said "Yes" to receiving the movies, then I heard a pause and realized that my answer had JUST BEEN RECORDED. I had heard of scams where the words Yes had been recorded and switched around to give the scammers capability to empty bank accounts or open new lines of credit, when they were not in fact given the permission. I immediately hung up and emailed the National PTA which the man I spoke to mentioned. They need to inform parents about this, that way, at least there is no surprise if it is legit.

I have a MI phone number and ignored a call from this number a few minutes ago.  I wanted to see where the area code was from and stumbled onto this website.  Glad I didn't answer... Thanks everyone for your input!

I first time i got a call from them was yesterday, I answered with an unsure hello and they hung up. i received a call from them at 9:02am this morning too. i live in michigan, i do believe they would be a few hours behind me. i have a nextel phone. and ive never received any calls like that. anyways, i was surprised to actually find this site when all i was looking up was where the area code 505 was from. sure glad i did.

****after checking with my parents it seems that number called both of my parents cell phones as well! how weird is that!?!?

Received a call from this number.  Same pitch as the others.  I was not available to answer any questions, so he said he would phone again.  I told him not to bother.  He hung up very quickly.  Don't know if he heard me tell him not to phone again.  I am wondering how they get our numbers.

Alltel service in Montana.  Have gotten it twice and haven't picked up.  Don't think I ever will either.

I got a call from the number above when I was overseas (I have ATT). I did not answer the phone as I normally do, thankfully, as that would have cost me 1.29 per minute to receive unwanted calls. Luckly I checked the website and found out it was a scam.

yeah, i got a call from this number but didn't know who it was so i didn't answer it. they didn't leave a message or anything so i asked my mom if she knew what area code 505 was. so we looked it up and it's new mexico.. we're from ohio. but then when my dad came home from work he said he'd gotten a call from the same number and it was like 20 minutes after they'd called me.

oh, and my phone service is also alltel..

well i and my younger bro had them call both of us missed the call and we both have alltel its bad enough that we have to worry bout stuff on a house phone now we have to worry bout this stuff on our cells wtf

Easy, they find the area code and a prefix set to a cell phone...and walla you have 10,000 possible cell phone numbers to call at random. If this cause was so important why do they not have  a recorded message if the telemarketer cannot reach anyone at the number...I never gave out my cell to a business and never will...There is no need for them to be calling my phone.

Received a call from this number @ 12:19 today. Was a gentleman asking me for a free servuey of films for kids. Said he would send 2 dvd films which were mine to keep that they just wanted feed back on the films. Asked him his company name as got a talk about national groups studying the effect of films on children. HANG UP on this guy he will not give you a Company name or tell you how he got you number.

I got this call today and googled this page.  I didn't answer but my service is Alltel.  Seems like a lot of the postings are from Alltel customers.
