I was on vacation in Canada, i saw the missed number that we have all seen. So I called it back, it was busy then I tried again, got through he said hello this is Jesse but my coverage in the middle of nowhere wasn't good enough to talk to him. but.. heres the address name and number.. May try to [***] with him sometime on a privite line and bug him for a while. or send him a post card. I am alltel in Ohio, looks like alltel and at&t are the ones getting hit with this number in both ohio and indiana

oh and they called again today, seems like at 8am both times and a week apart, wonder if he has a cycle on his call list.

I've been getting calls from them for the last week or so - the last one was at 8:30am yesterday, 8/25/08 - I haven't answered since I didn't recognize the number, but with what I read here next time they will get a piece of my mind.  I am an at&t customer in ohio.

Got a call today on my AT&T cell phone, this guy had MY NAME and asked how I was.  I jumped on him with both feet asking how he got my name and cell phone number.  He immediately goes into his pitch about being a non profit organization and I jumped back in and said NO, put me on their Do Not Call List.  I hung up as he was still talking, wanting me to listen to him.  When these people start paying for my phone bill, then I'll listen but until then, it's still mine.  I went to https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and filed a complaint.  I also went to the company web site http://www.kidsfirst.org/ and contacted them, telling them next call whether on the cell or home phone I was filing Formal Complaint with New Mexico State Attorney General http://www.nmag.gov/office/contact.aspx .  I hope others follow suite and do the same.

I received a call from this number on 8/26/08 and it sounds like it's a form of telemarketing. My number is on the do not call list, so I'm wondering how they got it. (Alltel)

i got a missed call at 8:15 this morning. i called the number at 9:30 and spoke with jesse who said it was not for profit, not selling anything, and wants to send me dvds. i asked how he got my cell number (at&t) and he said because they are not selling anything they are able to call a combination of numbers including cell phone numbers. he said they do not know at the time they make the calls that they are calling cell numbers.

505-247-1942 called on 8/27 at 3:41. I was at work, no message was left.

I just got a call rom that number too. The man said he was Jesse from Kids First. I thought it was just a telemarketer too so I just hung up. My service is alltel too. Is alltel giving out the numbers?

Got a call yesterday, 8/27/08 at around noon.  Was at lunch with friend and did not take call. Tried number today to see who it was & got a busy signal.  Decided to google it. Glad I did too.  I will not be returning that call now. Thanks for the heads up.

These guys have called me twice and I have missed the calls both times.  Very glad I searched first before thinking of calling back.  This has got to stop.  We all have to report them.

i just got a call from Kids First, i answered and this man came on and was asking me questions and told me bout this offer and he mentioned PTA to me and to help parents to rate childrens videos and blah blah, well i figured i was helping out so i was like sure its free i dont have to pay for them and its no biggy. well needless to say i wish i never recived it. i had put my my cell number (alltel) on the DO Not Call Registry.com and well now when i get the dvds ion the mail i'm returning them and if they call back i;m telling them they have the wrong number. i so dont want them to call me back. i cant beleive i screwed my self. i'm glad i looked up the number on here.

I'm another Ohio resident who got this call, again if this cause was so important than why is it when you call back you get a busy signal and can't get through? What's next you go onto there website then they spyware the hell out of your computer selling your IP address to India or some other foreign country? It's a scam if this cause was so worthy they would leave a message so anyone interested can contact them back. Now that I know there number I guess I'm going to have a little fun with them.

I received a call from this number, so I did not answer it as I did not recognize it (I figured if they wanted to talk to me they'd leave a message). No message was left, but I wanted to make sure it was not important, still. This is so ridiculous. I am sick of getting calls from random scams. How does one actually get out of that?

I received a call from this number on 2 Sep 08 at about 1300.  I never get unsolicited calls on my cell, so naturally I was curious...googled it and here I am.

I received this call on Sept 2.  I also didn't recognize the number and didn't answer.  I am with AT&T; previous Cingular customer.  Either this service is hacking into cell databases or, perhaps, using a random dialer.  I agree with the wtf comment about getting cold sales calls on cell phones.  I did not get a cell phone to be harassed by telemarketers; I don't care who they represent.
